HOUSTON –A 21-year-old man sprang into action to protect his family Thursday night when three suspects barged into their northwest Harris County home.
The young man was home with his mother and father in the 3900 block of Brook Garden when the armed men forced their way into the house around 8 p.m., according to Harris County Sheriff’s deputies.
The family was in the middle of baking a cake, when there was a knock at the door.
“I see a young boy and I think it is a friend of my son so I open it a little bit,” the father explained. “These guys push and out comes two more, they push me on the ground.”
After the father was down, the suspects went after the mother. That is when the son ran and got his dad’s gun. He opened fire and hit one of the suspects, who died in the back bedroom. The other two suspects fled the scene.

A shotgun may be good in a certain situation. He said that’s all you need, a double barreled shotgun and all you need to do in an emergency is go outside and fire 2 rounds (emptying the firearm) randomly into the ether. THAT is stupid.
Also an AR is easier to use for someone of slighter build. More accurate, less recoil... He truly is just an idiot.
Your chart is wrong. It only has a 12-inch spread at 10 feet being the maximum spread. Biden told me one blast from a shotgun will take out an entire room full of bad guys.
(Thanks for the chart. While a shotgun will do A LOT of damage, you still need to point/aim it at the center of mass of the bad guy.)
A friend of mine would tell you that 12-gauge 00 buckshot is hell on kitchen cabinets.
That’s an interesting gun. I handled a few of them at some recent gun shows and thought they were more of an oddity or overkill and not really useful. Then I read about some Floridians who go out horseback riding and use this handy weapon to take out wild pigs with the 45 Colt or snakes with the .410.
You learn something every day.
It shoots bot .45 cal bullets and 410 shotgun, and is a 5 shooter revolver- which is neat.

plus I think 410 shotgun shells are just as cute as a button- and I could teach my yong daughters to shoot without scaring them silly like a 12-guage might, or knocking them on their butt I think if you shortened it to the legal limit you have something very maneuverable when the zombie Apocalypse comes
