An estimated 750 people turned out Saturday to tell a local state politician how they felt about gun control.
State Sen. Angela Giron heard from vocal and animated constituents. The town hall was scheduled to discuss four gun-control bills the Colorado House passed last week. Those bills will be heading to the state Senate for a vote in the coming weeks.
The measures include universal background checks, a limit of 15 rounds on high-capacity magazines, a ban on concealed weapons on college campuses and a bill that would charge gun buyers for their own background checks.
While about 250 people crammed into the Ryals Room at the Robert Hoag Rawlings Public Library for the meeting, about 500 people who showed up did not get to take part and had to wait outside in the lobby, according to Pueblo police.
I doubt Giron will win her next election if she votes for theses CO gun-grab bills. Her margin for victory was not all that in the last election.
BTW, there is a recall effort against this Dem McLachlan from a rural county who voted for all 4 anti-2nd Amendment bills. He represents the Durango, CO area.

The dim-bulb-crat/felon/cretins will import whatever illegal aliens and Holder’s peoples, along with having a few of the local dim bulbs vote a few times. The results will be thousands more votes for the bimbo than the entire population of the town.

Pueblo is a blue area of the state. It isn’t white environmental wacko blue like Boulder, it is blue collar, union, and latino. If the democrats lost his area, it would be huge.
Sen. Giron’s margin. It’s not all that big. She is beatable in 2014. Her area likely is more than Pueblo.

Now D state Rep. Leroy Garcia who also represent Pueblo voted against 3 out of the 4 of the anti-2nd Amendment bills. He’s safe but Giron not so much.
Do you know how the unions are doing in Pueblo? They traditionally have been strong in tha area, but I would think they would be trending down over the last 20 years.

More people in Pueblo also supported resuming uranium mining on the Range (e.g., Action 22), along with some in the western part of Denver. People of both political parties elsewhere in the State opposed mining (especially those on the Range, suburbs around Denver, Springs, all). Seems strange, eh?

I noticed that Giron brought up “well-regulated” (out of context, as most do), “bazookas,” “nuclear bombs,” “tanks,” and the like. Many have guilty of helping to perpetuate that confusion on discussion boards that are supposed to be conservative.
“Well-regulated” in the proper context of the era meant well-equipped. The typical regulation soldier carries a rifle, ammunition, proper clothing and so forth. Hardware that’s more cumbersome for whatever reasons can be kept in armories (as was done to begin with).
But it appears that Signorina Giron already had her mind made up by a very few more favored constituents. What’s CO coming to? Leadership is looking more like a roster from the Axis.

I went looking and the state does ...but appears to me they do not effect these proposed laws.
