The war of ideas is alive and well. In North Carolina, its taken a vicious turn, with progressives targeting the states Republican leadership and Governor Pat McCrory, who was elected in 2012. Spearheading this effort is a 501 (c)(3) group known as BluePrint NC, which, according to their website:
is a partnership of public policy, advocacy, and grassroots organizing nonprofits dedicated to achieving a better, fairer, healthier North Carolina through the development of an integrated communications and civic engagement strategy. Ultimately, Blueprint aims to influence state policy in NC so that residents of the state benefit from more progressive policies such as better access to health care, higher wages, more affordable housing, a safer, cleaner environment, and access to reproductive health services.
Its liberalism on steroids which is bad for economic health. Mark Binker of WRAL.com, which covers the news in Raleigh, Durham, and Fayetteville, wrote yesterday that BluePrint NC drafted a memo, which aims to put crippling pressure on conservatives in the state.
According to documents included with the memo and interviews, the strategy outline was produced by Myers Research and Strategic Services for Project New America. It was originally provided to Progress North Carolina, a liberal nonprofit that has aggressively attacked McCrory during the 2012 campaign and his early term in office. Progress North Carolina shared the memo with Blueprint NC, a nonprofit that coordinates the activities of liberal-leaning nonprofits. In turn, Blueprint NC distributed it to its member organizations.
An electronic version of the memo appears to contain at least three separate documents. One is an email from outgoing Blueprint NC Communications Director Stephanie Bass describing the material and emphasizing that it is CONFIDENTIAL to Blueprint, so please be careful share with your boards and appropriate staff, but not the whole world.

The commies have a “BluePrint” for their takeover and enslavement of Americans now, huh? Great. ****ing zombies.
LTE means letter to the editor, IMHO. This probably is a general plan for any purple state.
If that is the case and if Blueprint is, in fact, a 501(c)3 nonprofit then they are violating the law big time. 501(c)3s are prohibited from getting into anything political.
Perhaps Blueprint is a 501(c)4. Those types of nonprofits can get political. However donations to them are not tax deductible.
My question: what/where/when is the Republican response to this? Pussies!!
“If that is the case and if Blueprint is, in fact, a 501(c)3 nonprofit then they are violating the law big time. 501(c)3s are prohibited from getting into anything political.”
Unless you haven’t been paying attention, Obamatons have no laws...
On their website they claim “c” status,, and proclaim they would never do anything wrong...
America is like Germany in the 1930’s....
If there are any patriots left.. nows the time..
Soon it will be too late..
Fine. Now, is that a (c)3 or a (c)4? Big difference when it comes to political issues.
Additional, thanks neverdem.
Sounds very similar to what the Dims have done in Colorado over the past decade. The missing (read: unspoken) element in this equation is the media. In Colorado, these interest groups bombarded Republicans with accusations of scandal, misconduct and indifference, which were breathlessly reported by the media. It’s been enough to keep the GOP on the defensive, while giving the Dims enough momentum to win control of the governorship and the state legislature.
McCrory and the NC GOP cannot let this continue. They ought to turn the tables, expose this unholy alliance and investigate them for possible misconduct. Republican victories in the Tarheel State in 2010 and 2012 stunned the Dims; they’re pulling out all the stops to regain power. And if the GOP doesn’t act, they could find themselves in the same position as their counterparts in Colorado.
“They ought to turn the tables, expose this unholy alliance and investigate them for possible misconduct.”
Republicans in power don’t fight back. Look at George W. Bush. He sat there like a fool and never responded while the media destroyed him and Soros poured money into building the grassroots organizations that turned out the vote for Obama and lobby for the progressive state.
