Facing a Friday deadline, President Barack Obama said Monday that Congress can avert sweeping across-the-board cuts with "just a little bit of compromise," as he sought to stick lawmakers with the blame if the budget ax falls.

Speaking to the nation's governors, Obama acknowledged that the impact of the $85 billion in cuts may not be felt immediately. But he also said the uncertainty already is impacting the economy, as the Pentagon and other agencies get ready to furlough employees.

Compromise with what? Did Obama submit a budget? I must have missed that. Did Harry Reid submit a budget?

How do you compromise with a guy who is incapable of saying anything but, “It’s all your fault! So keep bending over until I tell you to stop! Which will be never!”

That’s Obama’s meaning for the word “compromise.”

Boehner should just keep hammering home that Obama wanted tax increases for everyone and he got them. Now is the time for cuts. If Obama wants to substitute the sequester for other cuts, without a rise in taxes, he should submit them.

What compromise is he talking about? He got the tax increases he said he needed in January...now its time for cuts.

Actually, time for REAL cuts, not a slowing in the growth of increases.

Otherwise, pound sand.

Is third time charm? Or, will Boehner fall for this crisis act again? The only thing Boehner should do or say is “House has passed bill. We are waiting on the Senate to act.”

The biggest fear Obeyme has is that come Saturday morning, no one will notice.

Amazing to see how the Big Lie works and permeates society.

There are no “cuts”. Spending will increase and will never go down. The Elites dictates to the dominant media and the dominant media repeats the Big Lie with the results being a populace that accepts the Big Lie unflinchingly.

Scary.

The U.S. media is now identical to the old USSR`s Pravda and Ivestia.

The difference is there is no fear or intimidation, the US media is devoted to the Statist neo-marxist ideology of the Elites.

We already compromised with the sequester he demanded and signed into law. It’s his turn to compromise this time. Bring on the spending cuts!

Any decent speaker would begin today’s press conference by thanking the president for returning from his personal sequester from the discussion. He would then say OK Mr. President, where is your budget proposal or is the one you submitted last year and which was voted down by the entire Senate 99 to 0 your last one? Next up, the House has passed a budget every year since 2009 and it seems to be lost somewhere in your party’s controlled senate. When you find out where it is, get back to me. Then open it up to questions about what I just said.

So sick of this hyped up media crap. If they can’t figure out how to deal with a spending increase that is little less than what they expected, there is no hope.

How can Boehner fall for the act when he is on it.
