President Obama urged compromise Monday as he pushed congressional Republicans to reach an agreement to avoid big spending cuts due to take effect at the end of the week.
"There are always going to be some areas where we have genuine disagreement ... but there are more areas where we can do a lot more cooperating than we have seen in the past couple years," Obama told a meeting of the National Governors Association at the White House.
"At some point, we've got to do some governing. And, certainly, we can't keep careening from manufactured crisis to manufactured crisis." . . .

Being President is a full time "do some governing" job. Yet Obama looks at it as something to avoid. Reluctantly every nine months or so, Obama find himself in a position where he actually has to do something. This could possibly be one of those times.
Who’s “we” dip$hit??
It is to laugh...
So, these guy is just an bystander observing. Never part of the situation, but always there to tell us what everyone is doing wrong.
Worst leader ever.
I think Obama has a great idea there. He and Biden should resign and let intelligent people do the governing.
Inspector Callahan- “A man has got to know his limitations”
BS, he’ll NEVER be seen as governing, because then he’d have to take responsibility for his decisions,
and it’s antithetical to his personal belief system to do so.
He’ll have to stay off the gold course and quit partying across the USA to “do some governing”.
He is accountable after all...
At some point, we’ve got to do some governing. And, certainly, we can’t keep careening from manufactured crisis to manufactured crisis..
ROFL
was Obama looking into a mirror when he said this!?!?!
Is that like "shoot some skeet?"
To 0bama, “governing” equals “Executive Orders”.
The liar speaks.
“we’ve got to do some governing.”...meaning do it my way or else!
From the mouth of the Lieing Ass Community Organizer....
Whos we dip$hit??

The royal “we”
A common example is the royal “we” (pluralis maiestatis), which is a nosism employed by a person of high office, such as a monarch, earl, or pope. It is also used in certain formal contexts by bishops and university rectors. William Longchamp is credited with its introduction to England in the late 12th century, following the practice of the papal chancery.[3] Its first recorded use was in 1169[citation needed] when King Henry II, hard pressed by his barons over the Investiture Controversy, assumed the common theory of “divine right of kings,” that the monarch acted conjointly with the deity. Hence, he used “we” as “God and I...,” or so the legend goes. (See Rolls Series, 2.12)[not specific enough to verify]
Good! Stop paying people not to work, and give us our frigging money back!
Share the WORK and the wealth will automatically share itself. It's time to start governing!
No! No! The less that sumbitch does, the better off we are! Everytime he actually does something, we suffer for it.Manufactured crisis he says? He is pushing his gun control crap over one. Oh, thats right, it has to be a crisis that he manufactured.:)
I feel a lot safer when he’s out golfing.
It’s worth the exorbitant costs just to keep him away from the levers of power.
So, he admits that it is all just a ruse and a scam........
"Holy underwear! Sheriff murdered! Innocent women and children blown to bits! We have to protect our phoney baloney jobs here, gentlemen! We must do something about this immediately! Immediately! Immediately! Harrumph! Harrumph! Harrumph!"
The only thing he is capable of is "campaigning."
Uh, that would be “... do skeet shooting.” I believe.
I agree. This country needs a real president. The life like, cardboard prop thing isn't working out so well.
I wonder if he knows when he says stuff like this that many people stand back in slack jaw astonishment....
C'mon, he's always looking in the mirror.
certainly, we can’t keep careening from manufactured crisis to manufactured crisis.” .
If this guy weren't president I'd be laughing. As it is, I'm crying....
Did any of those in attendance begin laughing out loud? I recall attending a “management conference” when our new leader was hired. He had his “management” theory to put forth. It was better than a SNL skit, or at least I thought. His presentation was wheels turning connected by a small wheel which he called the linch pin showing how everything is interconnected but some more important than others. I was virtually howling when a cohort
regional manager whispered to me, he is not joking, he is serious. I think that example fits this guy to a T.
Even if it's me who manufactures all the crises.....
We have to do some governing? OK, when does he stop ruling.
Seems Rush really hit a nerve last week.
Frankly, I love where this is going. It’s better than watching a movie.
Now, if I had not left Seattle for a cozy and fairly self sufficient small farm in central Kentucky a couple of years ago, this would be causing me a lot of consternation.
He wouldn't know what leadership is if it bit him in the rear. He's never led so much as a 7-11.
Yeah. He keeps telling us someone has to get out there and do his job, because he's not doing it. Someone (obviously not him) has to take a leadership role!
Typical leftists. Always expecting other people to do all the work.
Even if it's me who manufactures all the crises.....
He is accountable after all...
Two SEALS and no one's coming
We're totally on our own
Obama can't hear the phone ring
Four dead in Benghazi
Gotta get air cover
Terrorists are cutting us down
Should have been nuked long ago
What if he did squat and
Saw him dragged all around
How can he golf when we know?
Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na.

Why start now?
Hitler: "Anti-Semitism is a horrible problem. We must fight it!"
Stalin: "We must crush Communism, it simply does not work."
Jeffery Dahmer: "Cannibalism is a horrific crime, one that I intend to work against!"
Dillinger: "Someone has to stop all these bank robberies!!"
Frankly, I'm not seeing any difference at all.

Zero is no man.
Wouldn’t governing include working with and through the elected Congress, adopting a fiscal budget, et cetera?
“At some point, we’ve got to do some governing. And, certainly, we can’t keep careening from manufactured crisis to manufactured crisis.” . . .
Well, he should know, he built them himself.
The following link is to an old FR thread, about an even older conservative booklet called “The Revolution Was”, written in 1938 about FDR and the New Deal. It is ALL happening again - amazingly, chillingly so. Only worse.

An Excerpt:
Worse outwitted were those who kept trying to make sense of the New Deal from the point of view of all that was implicit in the American scheme, charging it therefore with contradiction, fallacy, economic ignorance, and general incompetence to govern...
The design was European. Regarded from the point of view of revolutionary technic it made perfect sense. Its meaning was revolutionary and it had no other. For what it meant to do it was from the beginning consistent in principle, resourceful, intelligent, masterly in workmanship, and it made not one mistake......
Having passed this crisis, the New Deal went on from one problem to another, taking them in the proper order, according to revolutionary technic; and if the handling of one was inconsistent with the handling of another, even to the point of nullity, that was blunder in reverse.
The effect was to keep people excited about one thing at a time, and divided, while steadily through all the uproar of outrage and confusion a certain end, held constantly in view, was pursued by main intention.
The end held constantly in view was power.
Did he really say the line about manufactured crises?
With a straight face?
The guy who can’t talk about an issue without a straw man, the guy whose every action is based on manufactured crises which he then uses to ram (for him, “govern”) through a pre-made agenda using the dialectic and the Delphi technique?
“And, certainly, we can’t keep careening from manufactured crisis to manufactured crisis.”
Good to know America’s manufacturing something, and guess who’s CEO. He can keep doing it least of all. Let him be hoisted on his own manufactured crisis this time.
Can someone post the Mel Brooks’ image, “It’s good to be the king”?
