Ours was once a ‘Nielsen Family’.
They offered us a gift certificate or something, and we took them up on it.
Their method of tracking our viewership? We kept a diary and mailed it to them.

I was also a Nielsen household. They hooked up a device to my tv - this was before the days of cable.
Wish she would grow those bangs a little longer—like, down to her chin.
With these high end DVR’s from Comcast(I have 3)it would be stupid not to monitor what each one is tuned to or recording...if you think Nielsen is the only one’s data mining you are a bit naive. My guess they do it on a much larger scale than Nielsen.
