Just saw on the Weather Channel that Dallas is having 2 hour delays at the airport due to the winds.
Stay safe, and prayers up.

We just had a brown-out here in North Austin
Clark (from the article) is now on the Weather Channel saying he has 18,000 customers without power and is expecting more. Of course, it is now 5 o’clock rush hour so signals will be out.
I can tell you that the wind is awful in Lakeway, just NW of Austin.
Been here nearly 14 yrs, and have never seen anything like this before!
The dust from the islands that have formed in Lake Travis due to the drought is blowing directly at the front of my house, and has been for most of the day.
Is this unusual or an annual event/season ?
Hey, Basil
It is Hang’emAll formally from Dallas like you. Long time no see. We met around the time Gore was running for Pres.
I’m live here in Port Aransas on the coast.(Near Tx as I like to say) winds are 23mph gusts to 41mph.
Amarillo, Texas picked up at least 16.9" of snow on February 24-25, its 2nd greatest 24-hour snowfall on record. Just last week Wichita, Kansas also received its 2nd greatest snow on record when 14.2 fell on February 20-21. The storm that blew over the Texas Panhandle last night and this morning (with wind gusts as high as 77 mph) is now bringing heavy snow to Wichita, Kansas.
Here is an update unconfirmed.
'Truly a historic blizzard,' weather service says
As of 4 p.m. (5 p.m. ET), 19 inches of snow had fallen in Amarillo -- an all-time single day record for February, the weather service said. Monday's accumulation also ranked as the second highest single-day snowfall accumulation ever recorded there, the agency said.
Texas could break its all-time snowfall record today
Amarillo ? Where the heck are the Armadillo's ?
KXAN evening news just said 62 mph gusts in Central Texas.
Ha, is that a doggie door? Can you imagine what the dog thought when he tried to run through it, lol.
That’s a heckuva map!
Do you see that area above Dallas, looking the the eye of the storm?
It’s wild down here. Looks like wind’s coming from everywhere TO us.
Stay safe everyone!
That wind map was posted on another thread by UCANSEE2. Almost always have wind out here in west central Texas, but there is a strong flow band right now flowing south and around Dallas.
Wood stoves are great.
Get one BEFORE a generator.
I like lights with my heat, so I bought a generator.
FM 973 may be shut down if the fire there in south Austin gets worse. Be care out there, FRiends.
If you live in a windy area, be sure you put a cap on the chimney to keep the wind from blowing down the chimney and smoking up your house.
Quick! Put up some windmills! /s
West of Amarillo 110 miles, we have had 10-12 inches of snow.
Power was out for about 18 hours; plenty of wood for the fireplace and stove; lanterns full of oil for light; water for house is gravity flow; just another day here on the ranch.
Snowdrifts are two to two and a half feet deep. This will give us some very sorely needed moisture.
