West of Amarillo 110 miles, we have had 10-12 inches of snow.
Power was out for about 18 hours; plenty of wood for the fireplace and stove; lanterns full of oil for light; water for house is gravity flow; just another day here on the ranch.
Snowdrifts are two to two and a half feet deep. This will give us some very sorely needed moisture.
Those last two storms have really dropped a lot of moisture to an area that really needed the water. The funny part is that we may have more snow in Texas now then some upper Midwestern states. Perhaps that means their time is coming up soon ! Do not know why they think these beast will weaken over the midwest.
