Glenn Beck and the WWE are going toe-to-toe in a war of words.
The political commentator, who used to host a show on Fox News, called out the wildly popular wrestling organization last week, referring to the entertainers as stupid wrestling people.
Becks comments were referring to the ongoing storyline between Jack Swagger and Alberto Del Rio. Swagger, who has enlisted the help of Zeb Colter, another character in the WWE, is feuding with Del Rio heading into Wrestlemania 29, where the two will square off for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Beck is claiming that Swagger and Colters characters are demonizing the Tea Party when the latter of the two went on a racist rant against Del Rios character during a show last week.
The WWE now has put a new character out that is demonizing the TEA Party, Beck said. You know Linda McMahon, Im sorry you didnt win. We should have seen how your true colors early on, and I think we did. Shes just one of these progressive Republicans that we worry about.

To clarify, WWE claims 20% of their fans are Hispanic.
anyone watching that excretement is mentally ill!
I have never understood why people watch this garbage.
and both their respective ratings will increase because of this ‘feud’.
You mean 'pre-scripted' ? Planned and practiced? Designed mostly to entertain?
but injecting politics into it is a very BAD idea
Unless you like money. Lot's and lot's of money.
TV Wrestling has always had it's 'political' characters, because it draws audiences.
“You mean ‘pre-scripted’ ? Planned and practiced? Designed mostly to entertain?”
That is true of US presidential elections as well.
It ain't as pretty as the always exciting always moving “let me set you up to body slam me” WWE stuff - but it IS real.
GrecoRoman Wrestlers have a great foundation with MMA - they are used to cutting weight, and wrestling is a great fighting skill.
As far as “politics” - talk to the “Iron Sheik” and “The Russian Nightmare”. ;)
And this is, somehow, “news”? Really?
I can’t picture anybody other than a mental defective watching professional wrestling for more than the 30 seconds it takes to figure out what it is.
You lie ...
Some are attracked to garbage.
Is he crying yet?
She always managed to save her mother's farm from the evil banker and his minions.
That tack didn’t work out so well for John Stossel.
Oh come on! The preacher man, mouth of the south and that million dollar whatever dude was hilarious back in 1990.
It’s a given I haven’t watched since then.
Sgt. Slaughter and the Hulkster come to mind.
The Iron Sheik came instantly to mind. But before he got involved as a professional, he was a “real” wrestler who had been on the Iranian Olympic team and later was the US national team coach.
