Obama Releases ‘Waves’ of Illegal Aliens From Holding Centers

The federal government released groups of illegal immigrants from custody across the country Monday at the same time the White House was making its case that impending budget cuts would harm efforts to protect the border and enforce federal immigration laws.

Advocates reported “waves” of illegal immigrants being released from at least three detention centers in Texas, Florida and Louisiana.

U.S. Immigration Customs and Enforcement confirmed the release of some illegal immigrants Monday night but would not say how many or from which detention centers.

Sure, it’s not as if we have the right to know this stuff. Welcome to Obama’s banana republic, folks.

“In order to make the best use of our limited detention resources in the current fiscal climate and to manage our detention population under current congressionally mandated levels, ICE has directed field offices to review the detained population to ensure it is in line with available funding,” said ICE spokeswoman Gillian Christensen. “As a result of this review, a number of detained aliens have been released around the country and placed on an appropriate, more cost-effective form of supervised release.”

Oh, it’s more cost-effective? Hey look, Obama is saving us money!

“We’re getting reports from multiple detention centers in Texas, Florida and New Orleans where detainees who are low priority are being released in mass without bond,” Domenic Powell, a spokesman for the National Immigrant Youth Alliance, an immigration advocacy group, said Monday night.

The only thing that sequestration has to do with this is that that's going to be the excuse.

A Youtube video made him do it.

Press Release from Sheriff Paul Babeu, Pinal County Arizona

Pinal County, Ariz – Sheriff Paul Babeu blasted the Washington gridlock regarding the “Sequester Budget Battle” and says it is already harming public safety in Arizona by ICE’s mass release of hundreds of illegals and plans for the release of nearly 10,000 more criminal illegals from prison.

Many of these ICE detainees are held at private facilities, which are contracted to house criminal illegals. ICE reportedly plans to reduce their available beds to 25,700 from their current 34,000. Sheriff Babeu said, “Clearly, serious criminals are being released to the streets of our local communities by this mass budget pardon. These are illegals that even President Obama wants to deport. This is insane that public safety is sacrificed when it should be the budget priority that’s safeguarded.”

ICE agents were paid overtime Saturday and Sunday to release over 500 detainees in Pinal County alone. These criminal illegals were scheduled for deportation, yet now they receive a pardon and once again become the problem of local law enforcement and a burden to the state of Arizona. The President predicts a doomsday scenario and his plans are already being implemented.

Sheriff Babeu concluded, “President Obama would never release 500 criminal illegals to the streets of his home town, yet he has no problem with releasing them in Arizona. The safety of the public is threatened and the rule of law discarded as a political tactic in this Sequester Battle.”

Congress made California release tens of thousands of “non-violent offenders” from its state prisons in 2012. Guess what? Property crime has SOARED in Silicon Valley. Sha-zam!

And exactly how many is a "wave"? I cannot find it in any conversion calculator.

It's not "how many in a wave?" It's "how long is a wave?" Look for the inverse of frequency.
