National Black Chamber of Commerce president and CEO Harry C. Alford told The Daily Caller that he ignored President Obamas spread the wealth comment in 2008 and had hopes for him because he was black.
I dont really support him too well and he knows it and thats a badge of honor. Hes bad. Hes bad and I supported him. I voted for him the first time around. I had hopes because he was black. Shame on me, Alford told TheDC at the National Press Club after an anti-gun control news conference.
Then when he started doing all these executive orders, banning right-to-work and other things, hurting my members, my constituents. I had to back off. I had to represent my people.

It’s really sad that people voted for him because he was dark skinned. Never thinking to analyze his position on things. *shaking head*
Now you have to live with it. So do we, the ones who knew who this POS is.
“...that he ignored President Obamas spread the wealth comment in 2008 and had hopes for him because he was black.”
So remind me again why are you the head of anything.
If our education system would help reinforce the fact that a persons skin color has nothing to do with their ability to govern, then may have been better informed to make such decisions.
Ignorance, apathy and evil will destroy our civilization long before the sun expires.
Whatever. You asked for it, and you got it... now live with it sucker.
Maybe next time you’ll give a moments reflection to that “content of one’s character” thing.
Of course, McLame was no prize.
Trouble is, Mr. Alford, we are stuck with YOUR buyer’s remorse for the next 4 years.
Glad you've seen the light.
Yes, of course. Like all of the other great black leaders that have led cities, states, and countries to financial prosperity.
So an admitted racist saddled us with his poor decision. But then again we already knew that and there is nothing but the passing of time that can change it. Thanks you racist jackass.
How do these people even get to the positions they are in and run the business they run? Voting based on the color of skin versus the content of character? How utterly ignorant!
I appreciate this guy clearly admitting his error and choosing to go back to supporting his people. He is a big cut above Colin Powell, who I recall, was highly placed in the Republican party for a long long time. How did that work out for America?
I don’t have a problem with votes based on skin color. But I do have a problem with people voting for assholes.
Maybe Mr. Alford saw the light, but, unfortunately, I don’t think we’re going to see a trend among his black brothers
And he’d vote for him again if the election was done over.
These racists never learn.
If this was a country that still had colored drinking fountains, whites-only lunch counters, or blacks-only colleges (scratch that one—the blacks insist on that bit of discrimination), then I could understand voting for the black man because he’s black.
But, I’m 50 and I’ve lived in the “evil racist south” my whole life and I’ve never seen any of those old Jim Crow things, except in a museum or in the media.
Shame on this guy for voting for race, instead of character!
Serves him right for thinking a biracial white raised WASP-Kenyan is N authentic African american
