India financed problems for Pakistan in Afghanistan, says US Defence Secretary nominee Chuck Hage

New Delhi/Washington: India has sharply rejected that it "financed problems" in Afghanistan to create trouble for Pakistan, as alleged by Chuck Hagel, President Barack Obama's Defence Secretary nominee. Despite the controversy, the US Senate on Tuesday cleared the way for confirmation of Mr Hagel to be the US' next Defense Secretary. The confirmation is expected later in the day.

"Senator Hagel's remarks are in sharp contrast to the viewpoint of the Obama Administration that has always been in praise of India's developmental role in Afghanistan and in fact has been pressing New Delhi to do more in Afghanistan," a statement by the Indian embassy in Washington clarified.

The contentious remarks are part of a speech by Mr Hagel in 2011 which was uploaded recently by an online newspaper.

"India for some time has always used Afghanistan as a second front, and India has over the years financed problems for Pakistan on that side of the border"," Mr Hagel said. "And you can carry that into many dimensions, the point being [that] the tense, fragmented relationship between Pakistan and Afghanistan has been there for many, many years," Mr Hagel said.

Not wasting a minute. Yah, sure. It’s pretty obvious that India financed the Paki terrorists who shot up Mumbai.

Meanwhile John Freakin’ Kerry is somehow managing to make Hillary look like a great stateswoman.

Great!! Bush 43 spent 8 years reconnecting with India starting down the road of common cause and creating a friend to balance the ChiComs. And these idiots in this administration shoot it all to hell with one stupid comment. England, Israel, now India. Obama is flushing it all down the toilet.

I’m all for it if it keeps the (pig-faced) barbaric Moslems killing themselves instead of the civilized.

So this idiot starts off on a positive note - he betrays India’s military secrets.

Just about what you’d expect from an Obama nominee - undermine America’s allies and screw up the state of affairs in South Asia.

Could Obama and his moronic minions be doing a better job of f*cking up America if it were all intentional?

Somebody needs to make trouble for Pakistan, before it makes trouble for others.
