WASHINGTON — The Senate confirmed Chuck Hagel as defense secretary on Tuesday after he survived a bruising struggle with Republicans, while President Obama’s nominee to be Treasury secretary moved closer to approval with bipartisan support. The votes suggested that the Republican blockade against the administration’s second-term nominees was beginning to ease.

He got just enough votes from Republicans to make try and make it look like their is not one party in in the United State Senate with just a few exceptions. McCain is a Democrat and no one can tell me he is not playing for the other side.

...And Rand Paul proved to me he isn't what he's claimed to be.....

The more we see the Republicans concede, it's more clear there are two parties that are supporting the Obama agenda.

Now waiting on Republicans to support another tax increase. It's what Obama wants.

McCain is a Democrat and no one can tell me he is not playing for the other side.

I think most of us realized that in his run for Prez in 2008, when McLame called out Bill Cunningham for using Hussein's name at a political event - McCain Apologizes Profusely for ‘Hussein Obama’ , and then later McCain warns supporters, calls Obama decent man

A DECENT MAN WOULD WANT TO DESTROY AND TRANSFORM AMERICA?

Paul’s vote floored me. It appears there is really no one left to trust. I don’t live anywhere near Kentucky, but I contributed to his campaign because I believed he really supported Tea Party principles. Suckered again.

Several RINOs who voted to end debate also voted against confirmation. Call their office and complain of their vote and they will tell you they voted against it. Call supporting Hagel and they will proudly tell you they voted for him. Two faced bastards.

Suckered again.

Don't feel bad my FRiend. We are all learning right now.

General note: we need to keep track of our so-called Republican senators and representatives. Their true character shows in numerous votes that never make it into the media.

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/why-rand-paul-voted-confirm-chuck-hagel-defense-232124614—politics.html

“..................Paul spokeswoman Moira Bagley told Yahoo News. “As he has said before, the president should be entitled to some leeway on his political appointments. That is why Sen. Paul voted in favor of Sen. John Kerry, with whom he largely disagrees on foreign policy, to serve as secretary of state.........”

“The Senate voted 58-41 to confirm Hagel, ending a long and contentious nomination process. The other Republicans who supported Hagel were Sens. Thad Cochran of Mississippi, Mike Johanns of Nebraska and Richard Shelby of Alabama.”

This reminds me of the great “delusion” spoken of in scripture (2 Thes 2:11).....where people call evil good and good evil ....

Driving home tonight, CBS News radio said Hagel was “easily confirmed.” MSM needs to get its spin straight.

Re my post at #12. I do believe the younger Paul is just as unstable, and unpredictable, perhaps as nuts as the older Paul. He puts on a good show, and then runs over the cheering audience with a bulldozer.

“This reminds me of the great “delusion” spoken of in scripture...”

And that will usher in Matthew 24:37 - But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

What was it like in the days of Noah?

Genesis 6:5 - And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil.

They call it a “bruising struggle” and “a long and contentious nomination process.”

Nowhere do they mention a botched, inept, embarassing, sophmoric appearance before the vetting committee.

Just like the NYT’s coverage of Obama vs. the Republicans:

Draw attention only to the fact that there is opposition, never the reasons why there is opposition.
