The Washington Post's Bob Woodward ripped into President Barack Obama on "Morning Joe" today, saying he's exhibiting a "kind of madness I haven't seen in a long time" for a decision not to deploy an aircraft carrier to the Persian Gulf because of budget concerns.

"Can you imagine Ronald Reagan sitting there and saying, 'Oh, by the way, I can't do this because of some budget document?'" Woodward said.

Does Woodward seriously believe BO wouldn’t come up with a different excuse if he couldn’t use the budget excuse? BO is Charles I without the character and integrity.

Two comments:

(1) Obama appears to want to pick a fight with Woodward because Woodward has revealed some inconvenient facts about the budget cuts. This appears to be the next round of the fight.

(2) Judging from some of the comments below the original article, the left is now circling the wagons around their Dear Leader. Woodward is about to get a taste of what happens when you break from the liberal fold and express an independent opinion.

I watched the video; Woodward wasn’t that hard on obama. Kept referring to obama’s reasonable approach to raising taxes....just not for the sequestor. Woodward didn’t make the leap that obama is making all these threats SPECIFICALLY to get what he wants. obama will put the country at risk to get what he wants. Wish Woodward had said that...but, hey, it’s more than anyone else will say.
