Yeah, I'll believe it when I see the final ruling. Remember how the individual mandate was “dead” after last years oral arguments? John Roberts hasn't got his marching orders from the Whitehouse on this ruling yet...

The blatant racial intimidation and discrimination in voting procedures that prevailed in states such as Alabama when the law was written in 1965 and renewed in 1970, 1975, and 1982, no longer exist . . .

Sounds like a fairly reasonable and logical argument to me.

Yeah, it could open the doors to all sorts of atrocities like insisting on voter IDs and that people be actually living, registered and eligible before they vote.

OTOH, they could apply said laws in places such as Philadelphia, Detroit and Cleveland where crap goes on worse than what Alabama did in the 1960s.

Yeah, until Obama’s college buddy Elena Kagan tells him what’s been going on behind closed doors so he can again blackmail Roberts with whatever he has on him.

Raise your hand if you think the Supremes will uphold the constitution.

What is troubling is the new standard of: It does not matter if it is Constitutional, are you hurt from it standard.

You have to prove harm first ans sue as opposed to the courts Constitutional requirement that Congress only pass Constitutional laws.

Yep. Hey Judge Roberts, this is WH legal, heard you had to pull some legal manuveurs bordering human trafficking to complete the adoption process of those two lovely orphans. Want us to help the Irish authorities take those kids from you while Ireland investigate the transaction? Even if you are found innocent after a lengthy investigation and court case, not having those kids all that time drove your wife crazy, didn’t it??? So give us what we want and your wife’s sannity is assured. Don’t try going to the media for help, they already hate your conservative guts! Welcome to politics, Chicago style!!!

“An unconstitutional law is in danger of being partially struck down. The horror! “

And while they’re at it, maybe they could get rid of Republicans not being able to complain about voter fraud. It seems to me that’s rather unreasonable too.

Well, there goes the neighborhood. It may be harder for the Marxists to conduct voter fraud in The South if this happens. Just think of all those disenfranchised “Holder’s People.! The horror of it all!

Oh Yeah, Alabama is in GREAT shape now!

Civil Rights and the Collapse of Birmingham, Ala. This is what Obama plans for every city in the US.

Based on what I read at your link, it does sound like Birmingham is a small scale Philadelphia-like RAT infested sh*thole in an otherwise generally well-run state.

However, I fail to see the connection between letting Fedzilla keep oversight on the voting laws of Alabama and improving the sh*thole status of places like Birmingham. Fedzilla's influence seems to have quite the opposite effect.
