Soon JC Penny will have to rename to JC Pervert.
The mistake Penney’s made was being ‘in your face’ with those catalog ads...the straw that broke the camel’s back. My wife used to LOVE Penney’s, but those ads did it for her.
I don’t want to see what they’re selling by then
I hope the quality of the sheets is good. Last I checked the “OLD” Penney’s brands were gone and the comparison to Walmart was a better match than the other department stores.
The thread cound and microfiber count are very different standards and the long staple threads and PIMA cotton words did not exist there anymore.
Most of the time we get the quality that we pay for, famous designers excluded.
>> “Will the merchandise be what people expect or want?” <<
.
Sure! Double ended dildos, tandem enema bottles, glass top coffee tables...
All the regular stuff.
they were running the gay ads for a good while before hiring Ellen Degenerate
bump
I use to be a big JCP catalog shopper when I lived in the rural countryside, but that was over 30 years ago.
Like most everything that was once good in America, It is all “gone with the wind”.
They’re already selling degeneracy now by their choice of representatives. The changes on the shelves can’t be far off.
maybe, but I think less.
I do know at one time they paid $6 for a T-Shirt that came tagged at $28. It was immediately put on sale/promotion at 2 for 30$. They sold much more than if it said $14.99 to begin with.
Catalog counter is gone. You go to the department and they go to the stockroom and bring it to you on the sales floor.
Hope you can find a clerk.
I expect JCP will tell their vendors that they must accept getting paid after 180 days or they will get dropped.
Funny thing is that the vendors that go along with the 180 day deal will get screwed in bankruptcy if JCP files after Christmas.
Apple has a product excellence value discipline, and JC Penney has a quasi-operational excellence value discipline, yet they couldn’t see Ron the Apple Genius wasn’t going to work out.
What passes for strategic thinking nowadays . . .
I didn't realize they were still pushing this crap.
Let it burn.
apparently they ran a big TV ad during the Oska’s
Apple has a cult. JCP doesn’t. It’s easy to sell Apple to their cult members. That’s what Johnson failed to understand. And that’s why the JCP board is getting ready to give him the boot once they have his replacement lined up. And a pre-packaged bankruptcy might also be part of the deal.
The JCP board is pissed at Johnson for not testing the store within a store before he committed to it all the way. They told him to test it and he disregarded their direction. He’s toast and the store within a store plan might be toast too after he’s given the boot.
