Posted on 02/28/2013 2:19:08 AM PST by Marv Dumon
On Wednesday, the White House sent a threatening email to Washington Post editor Bob Woodward in response to a column in which the veteran journalist suggested that President Barack Obama and cabinet official Jack Lew lied about the sequestration cuts. In a Feb. 27 appearance on CNN's "Situation Room," Woodward declined to identify the senior administration official who had threatened him. "They're not happy at all," said Woodward. "It was said very clearly, you will regret doing this. He added that he was "very uncomfortable to have the White House telling reporters you're going to regret doing something. Let's hope it's not the strategy."

Professional courtesy. Pressure relief. Probably a strategy in place among the Leftists to gratify, marginalize, and diffuse.
Bob, you WUSS!!! It’s been their strategy the entire time.....it’s the CHICAGO WAY and if you don’t NAME NAMES, then you are even more of a DUMBASS than I thought.
Yo, Bob - keep an eye out for drones.
Maybe he could take the lead again and do some real reporting.
Just by publicizing this email, he’s returning the warning to the White House. They need to watch what they do, and nothing had better happen to Bob W.
Hey, it’s all good. Republicans control the Senate, Obama is trying to help the miiddle-class and trying to unite the country. 4 liberals just told me these things.
cry me a river bob w ,,elections have consequences.
Of course, the other half will never EVER know even a morsel about it. The half that voted for Ø. [and if they happen to stumble on a morsel, they would ignore it]
“Just by publicizing this email, hes returning the warning to the White House. They need to watch what they do, and nothing had better happen to Bob W.”
Well, the WH may have shot themselves in their foot on this. Whatever one may think of Woodward, he’s not easily intimidated. In fact, this WH threat may just motivate him to really go after Obama and his Chicago pukes. At any rate, Obama intends to govern by fiat, executive order, decree, jam it down our throat, pick your favorite words. But, this guy has to be shut down, by congress, the Supreme Court, or impeachment if we (Republicans) should be so fortunate to win the senate and hold the house in 2014. A long shot, but let us pray.....
Looks like you just signed up to Free Republic to pimp your examiner blog.
Getting lots of hits, Marv?
Here’s the original story you stole and re-wrote and stuck on your blog:
Thanks Marv Dumon.
I don’t think I’ve seen you say anything outside of criticizing bloggers.
So, you’re trading one blog for another?
Bob Woodward! WATCH OUT! Don’t go to Marcy Park!
What would you like me to say?
Do you really want me to say what I’d like you to say?
Either nothing or something useful. :)
It’s supposed to e That PUNK GENE SPERLING!!!
He never does.
Well well. The dimrat media that openly campaigned for our first historic emporer is now getting turned on.
Cry me a river.
Guess what MSM, your next.
And you enabled this guy.
And he doesn’t stay within the laws.
sucks to be you.
Where has Bob been while Obama ignored Fox News and tossed people off the White House Press corpse after they asked questions he didn’t like/
So Bob writes a little piece after he calls and apologises in advance for writing it and gets his hair all mussed over a perceived threat.
Yeah Bob why don’t you check into Obama Social Security card and his college entrance as a foreign student.
Obama’s Mafia knows what they’re doing. They know the lousy, easily-led media will be playing the “guess who?” game for the next few days while the sequester debacle comes and goes. They are the masters of distraction.
Well now....... patience is necessary.
If Obama turns up the heat, Woodward might cinderize him
You've had an epiphany!!
Thats the point!
Anyone can cut and paste......even me.
If you’re going to insist on original work, this forum will be quite empty, as there is no such thing. Pretty much everything you read, whether it be newspapers, blogs, chat forums, or blogs, is a cut and paste operation.
Personally, as a free-market conservative, I say let people post what they want and let the market dictate who is posting the most interesting stuff. Those who are blogging interesting stuff will get lots of hits and those that aren’t, won’t.
I’m also on the side of allowing people to blog whatever they want, as long as it’s factual, because the alternative is to not receive much of the information of what is going on and be less informed as to how the liberals and elites are screwing us over.
You seem to have no problem with plagiarism or false attribution.
You seem to have no problem with blogpimps using FR as a hit farm.
You my wish to check your "free market" credentials.
Hey humblegunner, did you know that FR has a whole section dedicated for blogs/personal? It’s almost like Jim and John don’t care if someone posts from a blog or not.
As I said, there is no such thing as original work. If you’re expecting original work, read fiction books.
No, I don’t have a problem with people using FR as a link to their blog sites as blog sites are the only way now to access information that the MSM is not telling us. Some blog sites will make it, and others won’t.
These blog sites help promote FR, which is a point that you fail to understand.
“Its almost like Jim and John dont care if someone posts from a blog or not.”
Posting “from a blog” and excerpting your own material to get hits are very different things.
Posting NOTHING but your own material and never making a comment is blatantly USING Free Republic as a hit farm.
Not exactly as simple and innocent as “posting from a blog”.
See post 552 for Jim’s thoughts:
Interesting thread on the topic by Jim, see paragraph three:
“Posting from a blog” isn’t the issue. Pimping your own material IS.
And where do you imagine these bloggers get the information?
What are the chances you will find out what is happening in North Carolica, if you live in Texas?
