If Bob Woodward's experience wasn't quite as harrowing as he first let on, Lanny Davis' anecdote sounds more like the real deal. Bill Clinton's former special counsel told Larry O’Connor and Brian Wilson on WMAL that his columns at The Washington Times got the Obama administration so angry, they threatened Davis' editor with removing the paper's accreditation to cover the White House:
Lanny Davis, formerly a special counsel to President Bill Clinton, told WMAL’s Brian Wilson and Larry O’Connor that a White House official once threatened to have The Washington Times’ White House credentials revoked over columns Davis had written.
Davis says his editor “received a phone call from a senior Obama White House official who didn’t like some of my columns, even though I’m a supporter of Obama. I couldn’t imagine why this call was made.”
Davis isn’t buying the pushback on the Woodward story, either. While he allows that the context may have been couched as friendly advice, a White House that uses the words “you will regret” is a White House threatening a reporter. In Davis’ case, there isn’t even that friendly veneer — just a call to the editor demanding that the paper dump Davis as a columnist, along with a nice White House credential ya got there “implication” if the Times didn’t comply.
Will the legion of Clinton admirers rush to support Davis, now that he’s gone public with this story? Or will they consider him a right-wing subversive, too?

It's Hillary!, folks. She's running again, and this is how she's going to distinguish between Obama and herself - Obama is a thug, while Hillary would never treat people badly or abuse her power.
That's right - Hillary is actually going to run on a platform of reigning in government abuse and tyranny.

Let me ask a couple of questions.
1. What did you do about it when you were threatened?
2. Did the Times fire you, because you submitted a bad story on Obama?
I wonder if Lanny remembers all the mysterious and unexplained deaths that happened during the Clinton darkness?
Now that Hillary is no longer a part of this administration, I’m curious if her people will now turn on Obama.
All should wait patiently until Leon Panetta starts to bitch publicly.
These guys just want to ingratiate themselves with the general public hoping that we will forget their misdeeds and vote for them when some choice elected office becomes available.
