Yesterday we did have Mr. Bernanke in our committee and he came to tell us what he’s doing with quantitative easing and that is trying to stimulate the economy with the bond purchases that he’s been doing because he’s trying to keep the interest rates low and jobs – and he said that if sequestration takes place, that’s going to be a great setback. I know its surprising, but Maxine Waters actually makes Michelle Obama look smart.
I heard it was 300 million jobs.
Reminds me of the guy, a couple of decades ago, that said there were 30 million homeless at a time when our population was around 200 million. In my business, the first thing you do when you see numbers is do a reasonableness check. Maxine’s numbers say that over half of all americans would lose their jobs over this. That is a fascinating number since that’s more than the number of people that are employed.

Sure bernanke is buying Bonds.
Buying them with money he printed and they are worth nothing. Bonds purchased by Bernanke are as good as an IOU from a dead man.
If stupid ever reaches $150 a barrell then I want the drilling rights to Maxine Water’s head.

Dang that’s a bunch! Unless they suddenly add 40 million jobs some jobs are going to have be lost twice. On the bright side traffic should be way better.
