This doesn't include all the people who feed off the Federal government. Go to any office building in Washington D.C. and look at the directory. They are almost all entities that are connected to the Federal Government. Ask a government employee what they do. Almost all can not give a simple answer.

They lay off people who serve the public, so that it hurts the public. They can be counted on to protect their entrenched power, and so some things will be never cut.
