WASHINGTON The screeching you hear in Washington is the sound of politicians slamming their mouths into reverse as they back away from their previous positions on the misnamed "budget sequester." For weeks now, we have been told that an $85 billion reduction in the rate of increase in federal spending a 2.4 percent cut will have devastating consequences for our nation.
According to administration spokesmen and supporters, the sequestration means reduced agricultural inspections and the prospect of tainted food, cuts in childhood immunizations and more ill kids, long delays at airport security checkpoints, air traffic disruptions and dangerous vulnerabilities on our frontiers and ports of entry as U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents are furloughed. And of course, fewer police, firemen and park rangers on duty means that lawbreakers are going to run rampant in our communities and that forest fires will threaten us all.
Supposedly, we also will have to live with dirtier air and water and the prospect of an environmental catastrophe. Even our weather forecasts and warnings about hazardous storms in the midst of an era of "climate change" will be adversely affected. In short, just about everything we count on the federal government to do for us is coming to a screeching halt.
Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano issued an alert that "the nation will be less safe." Attorney General Eric Holder warned us that the "cuts" will mean fewer FBI agents to apprehend criminals and that "prosecutors will have to let criminals go." Secretary of Education Arne Duncan even took time off from his celebrity basketball duties to tell a Sunday talk show that teachers in West Virginia "are getting pink slips."
But none of that is true unless the administration wants it to be so...

Below is a personal report re the tragedy of the SBS in wino country and from gene pool contacts across the nation:
I just woke up, Did we survive ?
BOL! The same here. We were out carousing last night, actually going to good high school play.
This morning I noticed:
Our home was still standing and our neighborss homes.
Our fishwrap had been delivered apparently without the delivery lady being shot, stabbed, raped, mugged or suffering a car jacking.
Some kids were walking by to their shool, and other were being NasCared by their mothers.
Our water, sewer, electicity, natural gas, cable tv, internet and phone systems were still working.
My trophy wife and her gene pool like to talk in the early morning. She uses our landline and her cell. Everyone in her gene pool was still safe and alive. She texted our grandkids, and they were on their way to schools which where still open. Their NasCar driver, our DIL, said the traffic lights worked and traffic to and from the school. She and the kids had no problem. When, she got home, her I phone worked.
Our adult sons drove trucks or rode their bikes to their real work places with zero problems and everything is working including them and their work staff.
My wife said the local tv stations which make a cat in a tree a major story, had no disasters to show.
Obviously, the Seq bs has really impacted us.
Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano issued an alert that “the nation will be less safe.”
Janet is doing her best to make her dream of an unsafe America come true,by turning loose thousands of Illegals on us.
Nappy is pathetic, making a statement like that while releasing thousands of criminal illegal aliens.
She belongs in a federal slammer.
Jimmy Carter hears about budget sequester, chuckles feels back on top.
If the sequester is really going to end America as we know it, wouldn’t you think the guy who wanted to remake it, fundamentally transform it, would be cheering instead of sounding the alarm?
