There’s a lot of variety in the environment here. Between the fact that we’re larger than most European nations, and we have elevation changes going from Death Valley low to medium mountain high, things are very flexible. Unless you like a lot of rain you can find an environment here you like. Just a matter of figuring out where it is.
It’s the political environment that’s calling to me; heat, cold, rain, snow - they don’t worry me so much.
I was at a red light not long ago and the car in the left turn lane had 2008 and 2012 o bummer stickers on it. Right window on the car was down, so I yelled "I see you were STUPID twice" just as the green light for me came on. Left turn light was still red, but the driver had a really dumb look on her face.
The political environment is definitely nice. Even the liberal parts tend to be not that liberal. Tucson, the major liberal enclave, had shall issue CCW before the state did.
