Children at Park Elementary School went home with a letter today explaining there was a disruption in school. Seven year old Josh Welch, and his father, say the disruption lead to a two day suspension for the second grader in Brooklyn Park.

I have become convinced that the vast majority of school teachers are made from the dumbest of all college students. There are good teachers, yes, but by and large education majors are the most gullible, easily lead, moronic sheep of all college students. Well, maybe social majors but that's about it. Public schools are not trying to turn out individuals who can make it on their own. They want good little workers like bugs in a colony. Smart enough to be efficient but not smart enough to survive without the hive.
“Okay kid!....drop the Pop Tart and kick it over here!”
Deliberately brainwashing children to believe all guns are bad, even edible ones.
Unfortunately, similar stories are legion. Good dedicated teachers are worth their weight in gold but are increasingly rare, and these fools give them all a bad name.
I have zero tolerance for zero tolerance!
Government school is child abuse.
Oh the horror! Kid should have made a vagina or penis cookie.
“Deliberately brainwashing children to believe all guns are bad, even edible ones.”
Exactly. This has far more to do with indoctrination than “discipline”.
Now, is the gun shaped pastry hurting anyone?? Should we have a 3 day waiting period for pastry??
ADHD is what I had in school. It was hard for me, but with the teachers I had, I enjoyed school.
Book em Dano!
There is stupid, and there is so stupid that it’s hard to believe that someone is breathing. How anyone lets their child go to a public school is beyond my comprehension. The people who run them lack common sense and basic reasoning skills. When I hear such nonsense, I am really, really ashamed that it is happening in this country.
The letter is hereby banned from use in all government schools.
(It looks like a you-know-what)
Thought crime iz a Hate Ctrime!
That's a useful skill. It was removed from the curricula decades ago.
We can't waste theses chillins time on anything practical...
Click on the key word "zero tolerance." You'll come up with hundreds of such cases from around the country.
Education Secretary Arne Duncan made clear in an interview with Bloomberg Radio that he plans to concentrate on early childhood education in President Obamas second term, and that the country must deal with gun violence now.
>> I have become convinced that the vast majority of school teachers are made from the dumbest of all college students.
The greatest underachievers next to the unemployed.
Instead of zero tolerance, our public school system is overrun with zero common sense....
We played with toy guns all the time when we were kids...but never touched my dad's Brownie until it was time to learn to shoot.
But Josh’s dad is not happy
This is a school near Baltimore, Maryland, a city and state that is totally dominated by leftist Democrats. They have a complete strangle hold on the state house in Annapolis. The governor is also a Dem. Josh’s dad shoud be prepared to deal with more insanity like this. It’s what Maryland is all about.
Wow....What if he was a future Michaelangelo...and shaped...
Our freedoms, our very lives are being taken from us a little at a time. They will shape the child and make the man, and that man will forever vote Dem. It is way past time to STOP this B.S.
Teaching politically correct thought is the work of fascists everywhere. This is Marxist indoctrination.
This is neither an overaction nor a lack of common sense/stupidity on the part of educators. Rather, this is a very calculated & well-thought out plan to indoctrinate children against guns. All gun owners will be ostracized as outcasts, same as we have done with smokers.
I’m 36 years old. I remember going to bars just 10 short years ago & having a cigarette with my martini. Now, just the mention of that gets me stares from younger colleauges like “you’re disgusting” or “what kind of person would even do such a thing”. The same thing is happening with guns. They’re starting with our kids. Trust me, in 5 years, they will change the public attitude regarding gun ownership
And there are people that think an armed teacher is a good idea?
“They will shape the child and make the man”
Actually, they will brainwash the child and feminize the man. That is another part of the liberal agenda.
Since the schools have, in their wisdom, declared such things threatening &/or dangerous, can we turn in wooden, or clay, or paper cut-out, or toy guns, or pictures of guns, or written descriptions or names of guns, or the written word - “gun,” at gun buy-back programs, and get a nice gift certificate?
Well like the old saying goes
Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach."
I've got a cousin who went to college to play softball, in the interim she got a teaching degree.
When 4 years of play time was over, she went back home, and NEVER ONCE looked for a teaching job.
I'm convinced that the vast majority of school teachers are basically the hairdressers of the college world. Somebody told them they had to do something with their life, and that they had to have college, so they took teaching.
“” Well like the old saying goes
Those who can, do. Those who can’t, teach.””””
I deal with schools all the time and I have expanded on the old saying.
Those who can...Do
Those who can’t...Teach
Those who can’t teach...Teach Gym
Those who can’t teach gym,,,Get a doctorate and become the principal.
Where have you been? That's politically incorrect.
It's called "Family and Consumer Science".
I was probably about 8 or 9 when my uncle took me out to shoot his .22 for the first time. I was in my EARLY teens when I went deer hunting with them for the first time.
None of my cousins or I, ever played with the real guns, and none of us ever grew up having a fear of them.
When I read of these idiocies, I always think of this Monty Python sketch:
Zero Tolerance: the brain-pan measurement of the teacher in this story
I think it’s time for Prez BOzo to announced the formation of a gov’t program to register pastries. The fact that this perp may have actually said “bang, bang” proves he should be declared mentally ill, put on psychotropic drugs banned from ever owning a gun.
To all you crazy conservatives out there who’ll probably be saying, “But it was just a pastry” I say that today it’s a pastry but tomorrow he might be brandishing a loaf of garlic bread while he yells “rat-a-tat-tat!” It’s too horrible to think about. God bless the “educator” for catching this little criminal, hopefully he can be successfully indoctr. . .I mean rehabilitated. And God bless the “news” and “reporter” for having the courage to bring this dark story into the light.
The purpose of zero-tolerance is to even the score.
Thanks. I”m going to pass that along to as many people as I can.
They’re nudging us...trying to get the populus to buy into a total ban on guns
Although I later got a teaching certificate, I took my college classes as a physics/chemistry major, not a teaching major.
The teaching majors in my classes took a watered-down version of the tests we took and received better grades for less work.
As a sub, I sometimes correct the lesson plans of the math and science teachers I sub for (it really pisses some off but some appreciate the help).
Pastry free zone.
The dad is right... this is “insanity”.
The type this teacher is the type that we need to seek removal by any legal means necessary.
Whether it is multiple complaints, unending letters to her and her supervisor - whatever. It could also mean like-minded parents banding together and suing her personally for violation of first amendment rights. Legally gather as much publically information about her as possible: credit searches, social accounts, etc..... and use it against her.
A tyrant like this needs to be stopped. It doesn’t matter how it is done as long as it is legal...
God, I wish we had someone on ‘our side’ who is rich AND smart enough, AND dedicated to Freedom enough to do stuff like that.
POST #1 Can only be described as painful clarity!
I believe such accuracy is unlawful. Don’t be surprised if you receive a federal court order requiring you to speak in befuddled terms for the remainder of the term.
Because it looks like a loser?! (OK, I knew what you meant but couldn’t resist) ;-)
Better ban Mass. State quarters in schools. Shows a minuteman with a musket.
If you look at the stae of Oklahoma, you may be persuaded that the western part looks like gun barrel?
Ban the atate?
