Obama's administration gave Egypt $450 million in emergency aid in 2012 and the country averages about two billion in U.S. foreign aid money each year.
Earlier this year the Obama administration rattled the nerves of Israeli leaders when he agreed to supply Egypt with dozens of F-16 cutting-edge fighter jets at a cost of approximately $213 million to U.S. taxpayers.

Title Correction in order??
“US Spends $250 Million of Taxpayers Money after the Sequester to Aid Egypt”
"If the tax be not proposed for the common defence, or general welfare, but for other objects, wholly extraneous, (as for instance, for propagating Mahometanism among the Turks, or giving aids and subsidies to a foreign nation, to build palaces for its kings, or erect monuments to its heroes,) it would be wholly indefensible upon constitutional principles (emphases added)." --Justice Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution 2 (1833).
AND, remember this come election day (if we have one) to replace everyone who had served more than 2 terms...These were not meant to be career positions! Originally, congress was is session for a very short time, pay was LOW to encourage them to get the business of government done and return to their real lives in order to provide for their families.
We are the lazy ones - instead of being active, we've been going along to get along and look what we've got now!!
Get active! Take back control of Congress!
Thank you for the title correction!
Slightly off topic, but why couldn’t the author use the verb, “give” instead of the noun, “gift?”
While I am aware of certain tax situations where gift is used as a verb, when did it enter the lexicon of contemporary language?
It works today ...
