The “Buildup” Continues: Dept. of Homeland Security Purchases 2,700 MRAPs (Mine Resistant Armor Protected Vehicles) For Domestic Use… Posted on March 4, 2013 by sundance Some may ignore – But we ask the same questions again, and again. Why do they need these? – This is beyond Creepy – Who is the DHS going to war against?

The Federal Government ordered almost 2 billion rounds of ammunition. They ordered targets looking like average armed citizens. They are conducting military style exercises in urban areas. North Carolina police say they are practicing for martial law.

Now this……

Via Modern Survival Blog - The Department of Homeland Security (through the U.S. Army Forces Command) recently retrofitted 2,717 of these ‘Mine Resistant Protected’ vehicles for service on the streets of the United States.

Apparently the Sequestration budget cuts isn't affecting the build-up and arming of "Janetalia's Army".

Anyone who can't see, or won't admit, that Obama is arming DHS and other government agencies in preparation for war against citizens, against people he identifies as "Bitter Clingers", isn't looking or is on Obama's side and against the US Constitution.

This is a violation of the spirit and intent of the Posse Comitatus Act . It is just another sleazy liberal end-run around the law of the land and the rights of US Citizens. Obama and his "Progressive" henchmen wipe their feet on the US Constitution and the sheeple lick their boots.

The purchase of 2,700 MRAP's certainly isn't to aid in apprehending muslim terrorists boarding aircraft. We know they aren't planning a land war with Mexico or Canada. And we know the administration doesn't care who crosses the border illegally. That leaves only one group of people as the potential targets for such a large militia - American citizens.

What is next on their Wish List? M1 Abrams tanks? A fleet of 10,000 armed, Vietnam style river boats? How about an armed DHS "Security Office" in every village, subdivision, train station, marina, factory, farm and on every street corner?

DHS is going to end up with one of the largest and best armed militia forces in the world and their weapons are all trained inward toward law abiding citizens of the USA.

There is a reason Obama is pushing so hard for the right to use drones to kill Americans he declares to be terrorists. It is only one small step for Obama to go from claiming that right on foreign soil to claiming the same authority against "terrorists" within our own borders. And it is only another small step for him to claim the right to kill those same Americans with weapons other than drones. Any republican who buys into giving Obama the authority to kill a person he himself declares to be a terrorist is signing a death warrant for the people he represents.

That photo isn’t making my homeland feel very secure.

Obama bewails the “Sequester” (reductions in spending increases), but finds plenty of $$$$ to arm the government against the People (obviously these mobile bunkers aren’t intended for immigration enforcement, since Obama just released thousands of illegal aliens).

I suppose DHS needs huge armored vehicles to haul around all that new ammo, given the flood of land mine incidents and attacks on DHS storm troopers... Can you imagine the fuel costs and “carbon footprint” of these behemoths?

Also, that is a lot of web gear, velcro and iron in one place. Would be interesting to check out their training drills.

This is beyond Creepy – Who is the DHS going to war against?

Let's see... Homeland Security (an Orwelllian term if ever there was one) 'practices' in places like Miami - and other AMERICAN cities. They practice in our cities because that's where they plan on fighting. And the 'enemy'? Well, it's the people living in those cities... American citizens.

There - that was easy - and obvious...

There's more Muslims working for Homeland Security than there are Conservative American citizens. That's another hint.

Homeland Security bought: 1.6 BILLION bullets - 2.700 tanks and 35,000 drones ... to use on American soil...

When if ever will the feckless Republicans question this build up?

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn’t love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

— Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

Might be time for some freepers to write 'fiction'... Books put out by conservatives that double as guide books for when it starts going down.

Well yes you can look at the federal agencies and/or local first responders and/or state guard.

But beneath all that you have the US Northern Command and what they do to support the federal agencies and locals plus what the Northern Command has to ultimately do under such and such a scenario. They have 15 planning scenarios that are publicly known and published. Who knows how many possible scenarios that they have and planned/trained for that are not publicly known?

They have the same defense cycle as any other part of the military: Deterrence, prevention, preemption, crisis management, consequence management, attribution, and retaliation.

Another thing you have to ask yourself is what happens in the 2014 and 2016 elections.

If Hillary is prez, the dems control the House and have a super majority in the Senate, will the right wing start voting from the roof tops?

Oh man, that’s a tough quote. It seems to be happening all over again, only it’s still in the building stages and anyone who sees it and calls it out is labelled “nuts”.

That’s SOP on the left when you call them out on their totalitarian designs...

And, for the sheeperals, they are totally recoiled by the idea of those they support having nefarious designs on power.

The sheeperals support the elite ruling class because it makes themselves, in their own minds, “good people”.

Are they assuming that the guy with the shotgun is just going open the door and stand there? That is suicide by cop.

Part of what is going on here is the disposal of vehicles, post Iraq draw-down, from US Army stocks. The DRMO yard at my local AFB has about 30 MRAPS sitting there in lines patiently waiting for sale/disposal. Government regs basically allow these to be transferred 'in kind' to other Federal agencies, while otherwise they would have to be sold to a foreign government or cut up and sold to domestic scrapper buyers. So part of this is probably that sort of accounting shell-game shennanigans.

Now, that being said, does DHS really NEED those MRAPS? I suppose the Border Patrol might have some needs if the Druggies decide to go ballistic but for the most part, DHS is about the LAST group I would like to see getting these sorts of vehicles. Frankly, I would be fine with giving 100 to Border Patrol, maybe some to DOE, sell about 100 to some Hollywood prop house, and scrap the rest if the military really does not need or want them anymore.

“This is a step around for Posse Comitatis. The president is prohibited from using military forces in the US.

This can easily be solved by the states rejecting the use of these arms within their borders.

Americans better reassert state rights RIGHT NOW!!!”

Hell, they’ll just give’em to local, county or state cops. And if anyone objects they’ll just say it’s for your security. Cops have wet dreams thinking about having these at their disposal

A company which received $2 million dollars from the DHS has apologized and TAKEN OFFLINE “no more hesitation” shooting targets which depicted pregnant women, children, and elderly gun owners in residential settings as “non-traditional threats,” following an online uproar.
As one respondent to the company explained, “Look, each of the supposed “threats” appeared to be in their own home settings. They were also all holding a weapon….it is obvious these paper targets were never intended to be decoy (don’t shoot targets). It is apparent this was designed to assist in desensitizing the trainee.”

That man isn’t standing in his front door.
He’s retreated to his office/library and has raised his gun as a last ditch effort to save his life from a home invasion.
