Jeb Bush reverses course: No path to citizenship necessary in immigration reform
Yahoo News ^ | 3/4/2013 | Liz Goodwin

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said in a TV interview Monday that he no longer supports a path to citizenship in an immigration reform bill, a reversal that puts him to the right of the current bipartisan immigration proposal forming in the Senate.

"If we want to create an immigration policy that's going to work, we can't continue to make illegal immigration an easier path than legal immigration," Bush said on NBC's "Today" show. "I think it's important that there's a natural friction between our immigrant heritage and the rule of law. This is the right place, I think, to be in that sense."

Bush, a Republican, supported immigration reform even when many in his party shifted to a harder line stance in the 2012 primary. As recently as last August, he said in interviews that he thought most of the nation's 11 million illegal immigrants should be put on a gradual path to citizenship if they meet certain conditions.

Paging Captain Obvious, please pick up the white courtesy phone. Does one Bushie finally get it? Or is he just thinking about the 2016 Republican Primary season?

I don’t care what lies he spews, what tunes he changes. I WON’T vote for a BUSH for President. EVER!

His brother, while an honorable man and spent his entire 8 years keeping us safe from terrorists, made some very horrible mistakes. One was establishment of the DHS and it’s bastard oppressive America-hating employee collective, the TSA, and the other was that he ignored the economy here in lieu of his fight against terrorism....

He was too gullible, to compassionately conservative, and all-too-willing to believe in the best of a Democrat Politician when there is no, repeat NO, reason to do so. They are evil. IF you consort with evil and entertain amnesty, false compassion, et al, you are with the Devil....

NO MORE BUSHs....

Your last guess is the most likely: he’s already positioning for the 2016 primaries. I don’t trust any of the Bush family. Reagan’s selection of Bush senior for his VP was his first and biggest mistake.

Any legislation that allows the lawbreakers to stay and work here is amnesty. A path to citizenship is not necessary to be deemed an amnesty.

Re illegal immigration: now why would jebby all of sudden say he is for the rule of law? Start playing the RUN FOR PRESIDENT game early, but keep the citizens guessing for now so it appears legit if the NWO elites decide to put him in the WH over the hildabeast. There isn't a jail cell good enough for the whole damned clan of the Bush criminal enterprise.

This is very good. He is making sense here:

1) Why the hell would Republicans give illegal aliens (esp ones in demographics that overwhelmingly support liberal redistribution policies) the vote ? Isnt this suicide?

2) Democrats wont support a immigration bill that does not have path to citizenship, which is a good reason to support one (that they wont accept).

3) The just be against everything (in the House) strategy is not working, in case you havent noticed Bohner is passing Democrats Senate bills using Dem votes, partly because there are no alternative Republican House bills on them that he can get passed (unite) with just GOP votes. So Obama is winning. He got the Senate modified VAWA. His agenda is slowly getting passed.

Of course he can’t be trusted. As far as I’m concerned we should be at war with Mexico. They have aided and abetted the invasion of the people even they don’t want in their own country to rob, rape, murder and devastate our support infrastucture here. And, Jeb, wants his wifey to be able to speak spanish with more people or something? These people need to be here? They only want to be free? WTF?

I’ll die before I even consider or discuss anything substantive about the merits of another effing Bush in the WH at this point after having seen what W ushered us into for 8 friggin years.

The Bush family is part of the Hegelian Dialectic to move us over to the Hard Left—Marxist State. Evil Prescott and all the Bushes have been poisoned by the “Skull and Bone’s” brainwashing of Satanists. Just “google” the “Franklin Cover-Up”. They are no different than the Far Left——they just “need” to “appear” Conservative and “Christian”. Boiling Frog effect.

Why have we been drifting so far Left after 8 years of W???????? And Obama was the “gift” of W. The puppet masters have their plan.

We traded the Reagan revolution for the Bush family.

It's long past time to just say...

NO
More
Bush!!!

Haven't we been damaged enough by those people?!?

It's my fault. I've voted four times for Bushes, as each vote for was better than the alternative, but now I'm not so sure.

After all of them, we still wound up in the same place: Broke with progressives running everything...into the ground.
