Janet Napolitano: Budget feud has resulted in long airport lines (the memo has been sent)
LA Times ^ | 3/04/13 | Hugo Martin

The budget battle in Washington that is forcing cuts to federal budgets has already resulted in delays and long lines at some of the nation's largest airports, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said Monday.

At a breakfast meeting with the news organization Politico, Napolitano said her agency is cutting overtime pay and sending out furlough notices to customs officers and airport security screeners.

As a result, she said lines have already increased 150% to 200% at airports, including Los Angeles International Airport and Chicago's O'Hare International Airport.

Well, Janet, of course they have...because that was the administrations purpose.....you created this mess and what you said would come true, did, by your actions.

Send out a memo laying people off and you get the expected results.

Can’t fool me....

If somebody in line with you says something that makes you think they actually believe this nonsense...don't let be the ones responsible for sitting by the emergency door.

They are too stupid to be trusted.

The Schnitt Show ( radio show following Rush in some markets ) covered the article but a caller from Dallas- Fort Worth said that the lines are now shorter.

If there are long lines then it is because of gross mismanagement from Homeland Security, not a tiny cut in the growth rate of spending.

Many of us knew instinctively Bush F-ed up when he staffed and managed the gates with Federal Employees.

So, yes, Bush’s fault.

We’re paying a generous fee with our tickets for airport security. What are they spending it on now?

I’m surprised that so many people read and react with panic to her policies for spreading hysteria. Eventually, more will stop paying attention. Anyone who’s been around a spoiled brat should know what’s really going on.

Men in leadership in decades past did their best to prevent panic and hysteria—even during disasters.

It is possible that the lines are indeed shorter due to all the fear porn going on and people get afraid and cancel some discrtionary travel.

Must be a three decade long “budget feud” at the DMV then. I’ve never set foot in the place without a line and sullen, shuffling “public servants” who are in absolutely no hurry whatsoever.

30 years ago we had a president who fired transportation workers for work stoppage. Today we have a president who wants to fire transportation workers if they don't begin a work stoppage.

WOW! Somebody arrest this guy!

The administration guarantees there will be airport check in slow-downs, even if TSA has to allow half their inspectors and gropers to work from home.

If the inspectors & gropers worked from home it could really be called the long arm of the law.

Fox had these lies disproven by noon with on-site crews.
