They were suspended because “they were involved in a incident with a weapon”. So I guess if they get robbed they get suspended too.

That is my assumption. I learned from a young age you are likely to get punished for a crime if you are the victim of it.

Sure, I understand perfectly. He disarmed the gunman. He took the gun away from the gunman and, therefore, was in possession, however briefly, of a gun on school property. That's against the rules. So he must be punished and suspended. Surely, you must understand that, says the liberal to the perplexed citizen.

thats what i was thinking...kinda like that Brit awhile back that found a .22 cal round in the street, turned it into the authorities, and was charged with possession...
