A Florida teenager was suspended from his high school last week along with two others after forcibly disarming a fellow student who allegedly pointed a loaded gun and threatened to shoot another pupil on a school bus, according to news reports. One of the suspended students, who has not been publicly identified due to safety concerns, said he had “no doubt” that the gunman he helped disarm was planning to kill the intended target.
The event, which occurred in Fort Meyers, has already triggered nationwide and even international press coverage. It has also sparked debate about statutes purporting to create so-called “gun-free zones” at schools, which critics say make schools into a “magnet” for mass shooters. There are currently two bills in Congress to repeal the controversial 1990 “Gun Free School Zones Act.”
The 15-year-old suspected gunman in the Florida case, apparently a football player, was reportedly arrested by the Lee County Sheriff's Office following the threat and subsequent scuffle, authorities confirmed. At this point, he has been charged with possession of a firearm on school property and assault with a deadly weapon “without intent to kill,” according to a police report about the incident cited in local media reports. The investigation, however, is still underway.
"I think he was really going to shoot him right then and there. Not taking no pity ... he was going to shoot him point blank,” one suspended student, 16, told Fox4 in Fort Meyers about the incident, adding that he was confused about why he was being punished for disarming a potential murderer. Stopped a possible homicide on a bus, and see what this kid got for his efforts. The liberal socialists are pissed because this kid thwarted a new corpse to stump on for gun control.
WTF? He pointed a loaded weapon at the head of another student, but he had no intent to kill?
How did I get into this alternate universe, and how do I get out?
I argued with my wife’s friend about the gun free zones in schools, she kept telling me that teachers aren’t trained for that kind of situation and would only hurt more people.
I pointed out to her that the restrictions for being a teacher was far, far higher than being a cop, and that the average teacher has at least 4 years of college and most have much more than that. If they can learn how to teach then if they choose they can learn how to shoot as well.
I reminded her that our local city cops would be the first on the scene and most of them were state troopers or county deputies wannabe’s that couldn’t pass the tests. I would probably trust many of my kids teachers to defend them better than our local police would.
She seemed to agree with me on that point.
The story, even though it’s rather long, never says exactly why these students are being suspended. I’ll withhold judgement until I find out.
If your wife’s friend voted for Obama, you should not let her in your home, nor should you associate with her.
A robot would be better able to administer a “zero tolerance” policy. No intelligence, judgement or understanding is required. Moreover, the students are given a view of the world not unlike Mao’s commune raised children of the past.
The suspended teenagers parents need to retain the services of a very good lawyer and BUST the ASS of whoever suspended this kid. This $h!ts gotta stop.
The day after the incident, the Good Samaritan received an “emergency” three-day suspension for being involved in a situation with a weapon present.
Looks like another zero tolerance moron administrator. One can only hope that one day this administrator needs a good samaritan and none come.

No one wants to be responsible for actually making a decision, so they point to “the policy”.
She did, and I really don’t, except to trash talk around her. My wife and her friendship is getting strained over this very subject but both aren’t really political so they remain chatty.
The woman is a divorced single mother of two, who, bless her heart, is as dumb as a box of hammers. She wants the feeling of security she gets from the dems, she believes the propaganda is all.
A work in progress for me is how I see her.

Single/divorced women are still women who are wired for seeking provision and protection, therefore, she’s drawn to the democrat party and the government as a substitute husband or father.
This is one of the two primary driving factors for being a “sheeperal by default”.
The other primary driving factor is the desire to feel righteous in yourself for the policies that you support. It’s even more wrong than works-based righteousness. It’s “advocacy-based” righteousness.

Now explain how - in specific detail - the parents find a "very good lawyer" who would be willing to take this case. Don't forget to explain how they would pay for the services of this "very good lawyer," or convince him/her to take the case on a contingency basis.
How does one go about finding a "very good lawyer?"

The article also mentions the student suspended was refusing to cooperate with the investigation. “Snitches get stitches” was the comment I saw.
This is exactly why I believe giving women the right to vote (along with their automatic numerical majority) without changing the "Constitutional eco-system" was the beginning of our slide into nanny statism.
Our Constitution provides almost zero protection against the forms of aggression and coercion practiced by women, while very effectively controlling those forms used by men.
I can launch a whispering campaign against you that destroys your life, and do so with impunity, but if I punch you in the nose, I go to jail.
