Skip to comments.Jeb Bush is back in the spotlight — and thinking about 2016

Former Florida governor Jeb Bush, who has remained on the sidelines since his older brother left the White House with dismal ratings four years ago, has jumped back into the political fray this week with a new book, wall-to-wall television interviews and a round of public speaking engagements.
His appearances mark a change in approach for Bush, 60, who has operated as more of a Republican elder statesman since leaving Tallahassee in 2007 but is now clearly considering a run for the White House.

But can he pronounce “nuclear” or does he say “nucular”?
No more dynasties.
No more Bushes.
No More Cuomos.
No more Clintons.
No More Kennedys.
Sure, why not?
The elitists have been using the Bushes to run the GOP into the ground ever since Reagan left office.
Might as well finish it off once and for all with Jeb.
Please allow me to yell....NO “F”ING WAY!
Hey, third time’s a charm - folk wisdom for ya!
He can think about 2016 all he wants. Just as he doesn’t actually become the nominee.
Despite any love or hate for the Bushes, the US voter will not elect another Bush. Therefore the MSM will push the current bush for all it’s worth.
That should be the first test for anyone aspiring to the office - can he correctly pronounce the word “nuclear”.
2016 Bush vs. Clinton, yet again.
No matter who wins, America loses.
DY Walkison you RINO POS.
Bush-Clinton race 2016???
On the bright side he poo-pooed Rubio’s (McCain-Grahamnesty-Shumer) amnesty plan by flipping on citizenship. Someone needs to stop them.
On the bad side he is looking to play the Romney playbook.
“Stay out da Bushes !” — Rev. Je$$e Jack$on
I planned on staying in all election day 2016 to watch test patterns anyway.
Everything the GOP seems to serve up nowadays, from Jeb and Rubio’s amnesty fetish, to Christie hugging Obama and sobbing over Springsteen, to the constantly capitulating Boehner/Cantor and the Congressional Republicans, to all the slimeball GOP consultants proclaiming “go gay!” to the governors like Kasich and Scott surrendering to Obamacare medicaid expansions, to FoxNews slobbering cheerleading of the crony-esque GOP establishment forces...
It’s like big, hellish, hamster-in-a-wheel nightmare. And that’s not even counting Bammy’s reign of marxist terror. All I can do is stick with the Tea Party contingent of Palin/Cruz/West, like it were a welcome oxygen-tank to a diver pinned beneath rocks fifty-feet-under.
So he wants a position in the Palin/Cruz administration? Maybe DHS or FEMA...
Well said. Sad situation, but the Tea Party is an encouraging development
He is in the liberal media spotlight, because they are the liberal media
Would be a tremendous, collosal waste of money. Those who are weak enough to donate to whatever Karl Rove’s scheme is called (because you know he is behind this) would be wise to keep their money in their wallets for a better, conservative candidate.
But can he pronounce nuclear or does he say nucular? It depends.
How do you say "nuclear" in Spanish?
This is one issue where I agree with the gays — NO MORE BUSH, EVER!!!!
No, really, his last name is Bush. UGH!! Good luck with that.
Fool me once, shame on The Bushes.
Fool me twice, shame on The GOPe.
Fool me thrice, voting third party.
No way Jose.
If the GOP nominates this gigantic turd to be the nominee I have no words..this guy makes Romney look like a decent candidate..whenever I look at Jeb Bush all I see is the face of Terri Schiavo, who he helped murder..he is despicable
Jeb Bush is from Florida which is unfortunate because I’m only supporting candidates from Alaska.
Go away all Bushes, now and future and that includes their adopted son, Clinton and his crew now and future
Really? jeb bush? I realize this is just him refusing to rule out a run at this point, but really?
Has the gop so totally lost it’s tenuous grasp on reality? Do they WANT to lose another presidential election? Are they admitting defeat even before the current global disaster is removed?
If jeb bush gets anything more than a terse NO THANK YOU from the gop establishment, then they are surrendering in the face of the most overwhelming landslide opportunity they will ever live to see.
Well, he’d make a much better Democratic candidate than anyone they’ve claimed (so far) might win their 2016 nomination
He shouldn't. He'll be gone before the race is even lukewarm.
“How do you say “nuclear” in Spanish?”
Elementary, my dear Bratch.
National Council of La Raza
I thought that this would happen.
That's the way home, folks.
There has been enough, perhaps to much, influence from the Bush aristocracy on the course of the USA.
He’d probably get as much $ from the DNC as from the RNC
I must have said that 1000 times during the last primaries.
Sometimes I wonder if conservatives have too much ego to unite behind one.
Read my lips...
Zombie Apocalypse is real! It’s real I tell you!
This exemplifies why the Republican Party is DEAD! Would Jeb do anything to repudiate the Big Government policies and the legacies of his brother and father - namely bailouts and abridgments of our freedoms? Patriot Act, anyone?
GOP-e forces Jeb down our throats.
Conservatives decry yet another RINO.
Hillary wins the election.
The rapid US downfall continues unabated.
It is all part of the plan, folks.
I will not vote for him, and will vote for clinton to keep him out!
What you won’t hear from guys like Bush is;
When the democrats decided to remove God or any reference to Our Creator at their 2012 convention. They also demonstrated they are no longer the democratic party of your fathers father. They have become a hyphenated radical unit and should be known as Demo-Coms dedicated to the establishment of a collective idealism using the device of PCP, politically correct politics, to modify behavior and shed beliefs that they believe would impede remaking their concept of the perfect utopian state. That is hardly democratic because the word democrat idealizes the individual voice.
But Rove, GOPES (GOP Elite Snobs) and RINOS lack the capacity or the understanding or the courage to point to the historic radicalization that occured at that moment and use it politically. Worse yet they are unwilling and unable to forthrightly defend what the demo-coms have set out to destroy and some are even comming up with their own version of PCP . Anyone preaching PCP is going down the poisonous road to oblivion . Following a policy of PCP.
Politically Correct Politics which the hyphenated democrat party, the Demo-Coms,is using is flat out wrong. Worse yet moral questions such as marriage, sexual practices, family constituency and particularly beliefs those of containing Judeo Christian tenets are being assulted and not defended. Republicans and GOPES jumping on this PCP bandwagon offer a majority of voters no choice in the direction this country is to take. They are “me too Republicans”
Part of the PCP messaging when used by the Demo-Coms. Revert to using such terms as: Afro-American, Hispanic-American, Asian-American, White-American, Rich-American ,Gay-American. These are more than simply nouns but vehicles used to separate US from each other.Beside separating US from our money the Demo-Coms demand we become adhearents to a system without the constituional constraints on government. Thus surrendering our protections from governmental abuses and excessive bureacracy to the will of a bureaucratic collective which is no longer answerable to the average citizen. Republicans seem incapable of seizing on issues which cross into the lives and pocketbooks of Americans who are black, brown, yellow, red, green or that ever color or even present the issues as affecting all Americans First.
Sadly for the Republicans God remains in Limbo
Rove has a record of being incapable of responding and conducting winning campaigns where hes given creds from those seeking to destroy political opposition. Consider the missed opportunities offered by the 2012 election.http://www.theusmat.com/
Go. Away. Bush!
