One logical flaw that should be considered is that, what if these uniforms are not for *current* TSA agents?
Let’s do some different math. Assume the price of these uniforms is instead typical uniform prices. $70 for a pair of uniform trousers, $35 for a uniform shirt, $40 for a cap, and throw in a pair of combat boots for $50. Being generous, say $200 for the lot.
For $50,000,000 that would be enough to put uniforms on 250,000 new TSA employees.
Remember that FEMA Corps, part of AmeriCorps, is under the umbrella of the Department of Homeland Security.
Remember these guys?
Add in the 2,700 new MRAPS at $160,000 per copy for DHS for almost HALF A BILLION and 1.6 Billion rounds at 25 cents per. I mean, they sure seem to be serious about “pinching pennies”.
