In his new book, At the Brink, economist and author John Lott Jr., assesses the presidency of Barack Obama and recalls conversations regarding gun laws they had while working at the University of Chicago.
In Chapter Three, Mr. Lott discusses gun-control and takes the reader back to his time at the University of Chicago, where he and then-professor Barack Obama spoke on numerous occasions about guns in America.
"I don't believe people should be able to own guns," Obama told Lott one day at the University of Chicago Law School.

He was NEVER a Professor. ONLY an unqualified, untenured, politically appointed instructor. A lazy and incompetent one at that. He never had, nor will he have anything substantive to offer save divisiveness and hatred for this country.
I don’t believe a Caucasian-hating, fascist Kenyan Communist should be President of the United States so I guess we’re even.
Yep, this story is on Drudge. You probably won’t hear it anywhere else, though.
What he or anyone else believes is irrelevant. It’s what the Constitution SAYS.
“We don’t let them have ideas. Why would we let them have guns?”
And what HE believes is more important than what the founders believed or what you and i believe.
that is what makes him one dangerous a$$hole
Come on McFrog,
Constitution never stopped this marxist punk up til now,
Why should he adhere to it now??
I believe he should not be allowed to remain in office.
I think a few million pissed-off people should visit Mr. O and review his beliefs.
Thanks for the reminder, and you’re absolutely correct. Obama was never a “professor”; rather he was a “lecturer”. I’ll never forget the day the University of Chicago threw their professors under the bus by elevating him to their status — so as to backup his false claim — without ever having to put in the work to attain the title.
Ah... the idea of a fixed point of reference stems from your basic assumptions in your worldview.
0bama and the left do not have that worldview.
Being humanists, they believe that their intellect in the here and now trumps anything written or believed in the past, no matter if that past was 2000, 200 or 2 years ago, or even if they themselves were the ones to write it down or believe it.
He has made his position and his beliefs abundantly clear. Asking the questions again will not get a different answer. But, send the few million anyway.
“I don’t believe people should be able to own guns,”
“I still can’t believe a communist muslim half a fag non citizen is president of the United States.”
Geez, I never knew he told Lott this! Did anyone else know?
