Florida legislator wants anyone trying to buy ammunition to complete an anger management program first, in what critics say is the latest example of local lawmakers reaching for constitutionally-dubious solutions to the problem of gun violence.
The bill filed Saturday by state Sen. Audrey Gibson, D-Jacksonville, would require a three-day waiting period for the sale of any firearm and the sale of ammunition to anyone who has not completed anger management courses. The proposal would require ammo buyers to take the anger management courses every 10 years.

And the anger management courses cost how much? Is he proposing to offer them for free? This would prevent poor people from buying ammo.

With the shortage of ammunition being what it is, I typically have to wait for weeks, if not months to find ammo. They want a three day waiting period for purchasing ammo? Wow!

I know a dozen shooters well and nearly 100 shooters at the gun club, and they are the most mellow people I know.
I wish we could require than any politician wanting a new gun law should spend 4 hours at a gun club to observe members and must shoot a firearm. It’s always worked for me in showing novices what it’s all about.

I think we should require lawmakers to take Constitution courses run by strict constitutionalists instructors and pass a battery of tests and then have ethics courses taught to them as well and pass more tests before they are allowed to write laws.
When you get to class do everything you can do to quietly get the instructor pissed off.
I read this and I think of Barry Corbin’s role on Charlie Sheen’s new show and I giggle uncontrollably.
And then, once this passes, the FL background check document will revised to ask, “Have you ever been directed to attend any type of course pertaining to your mental health, such as Anger Management?”
Next it will be speech therapy before anyone can write a letter to the editor.

local and federal politicians intentionally pass laws they KNOW to be unconstitutional because they know most people have no money to mount a court battle and most times politicians have ex parte access to judges that regular people do not have.

On all IQ tests for the last 100 years, blacks score remarkable lower than whites. seems blacks test out with about 40% scoring 80 or below. Whites have only 10% scoring 80 or below.
.....or just another means of registering that you have a gun. Back door registration.Or your scenario of the instructor failing 30 or 40% of the class. They also will decide what the criteria is for passing.
