If those lawsuits were so frivolous, she'd have faced them, if she were a leader, the people of Alaska would be glad to defend her no matter the cost. - for COUNTRY.

It wasn't just her money. State employees were tied up getting evidence and files to answer the suits. It cost the state of Alaska $2mil and those people weren't doing their jobs for the state. These suits also tied up the state. She had already done everything that she promised to do. There were suits even after she left. This was a concerted effort by Dems that also hurt Alaska. And all the suits were dismissed or found to be without merit.
You have to understand that she fought the Repub establishment during the 2008 election and Obama. This was "get even" time. And the press helped.
