President Barack Obama will present a “general framework” for Israeli-Palestinian peace during his visit to Israel and the West Bank in two weeks’ time, Israel’s Channel 10 news reported Thursday night, quoting what it said were remarks made by the president in a pre-visit White House briefing for US Jewish leaders.
He will not unveil a “comprehensive Middle East peace plan” during the trip, the report said, but told the leaders Thursday they should not rule out him doing so “sometime in the next six, nine or 12 months.”
Obama reportedly told the Jewish leaders he would speak extensively about the peace process with Israel’s leaders, and would make clear that Israel’s desire for an accommodation with the Palestinians needed to be underpinned by concrete steps. He will be asking Israel “which tough steps it will be willing to take,” the report said.
Previously, both sides had said that the president’s visit would be a “consultative” trip, rather than a prescriptive one.
At the same time, Obama told the Jewish leaders Thursday he would make clear that he recognizes how much more unstable the Middle East has become, and would highlight the US’s iron-clad commitment to Israel, the report said.

With Obama, “General Framework” means a gallows of a guillotine.
Don’t fall for it Israel!!!!! He has done this with the republicans and then pulled the rug out from under them (several times) and then blamed them when things didn’t work out. Don’t do it!
Sorry, the USA seems to have been involved in framing “peace” now for over a generation and without any success.
1. End all immigration from the middle east.
2. We should just leave.
3. Let them all sort it out.
Trying to discuss peace in the middle east is like trying to teach a pig to sign. It won’t work and will only annoy the pig.
Gee, why didn’t someone think of that before?

You cannot have peace with a people who teach their children that someday they will kill you all.
