Methinks you won’t be satisfied until you see a mushroom cloud over LA.

Yeah, that’s a really intelligent comment. Because that’s obviously what I want! </sarcasm>

Not saying you want it, just saying you won’t accept a lower level of proof.

NK is working with Iran and Syria and probably Russia.

I agree completely. I think that Iran is spearheading it, Syria was complicit but now is a basketcase due to civil war, and Russia simply profits by selling them stuff.

I think that NK’s tests are so small (a low-tech plutonium nuke would be much larger) that they are simulating explosions with the free fertilizer they got from SK. They are blustering so that they can get their free stuff again. They receive some aid from China but not enough. If Kim Jong Un can’t appease his army, they will depose him. That’s the true game right now.

I have a feeling that Kim Jong Un will be dead within a year if the sanctions are not dropped. He’s too young to be respected and once the system breaks down China will move in.

With so many years of Obama at the helm, who knows if we still have any ICBMs at the ready. He desire has always been to eliminate them.

I don’t share your optimism that China will move in if Jong-Un falls. I think his rhetoric is uniting what little he has in that country and focusing them on a cause.

The problem is that he has 50 some generals that remember the luxuries his father brought and if the son can’t match that amount, something will start. His father’s men grew up with Kim Il Song and watched Kim Jong Il grow up. They saw the supposed heir apparent get denied because he was too interested in Japanese hookers and Tokyo Disneyland. This kid spent his whole childhood in Europe and loves basketball. He’s a corrupted little twerp that will drive the great country of North Korea into the dirt with his capitalist ways, if you ask the generals around him.

He’s all bluster and no balls. He’ll be dead soon too.

He’s a spoiled corrupt twerp who killed the generals who were a threat to him as soon as he took office.

I have family in SK. The word coming out in country is that he has them and most people seem to expect war. There’s a major exercise right now but its apparently larger then anything my family has ever seen. They think its prepping for the shooting to start.

If Kim Jong Un sees that he is losing he will start a war, he may start one anyway just because he feels sporty.

When I was there we were once told to expect 75% causalities within the first 72 hours.

Yep...

Wait until they’re ready to launch or test and as they’re threatening, hit them with low flying cruise missile nuke...Immediately put out that our satellites detected a North Korean launch accident and one of their own nukes went off at 1,000 foot altitude causing a cataclysmic event. In the immediate aftermath, during the chaos, hit them with an EMP just to keep them quit for a few years..

Then offer to send some help as part of the cover...

Long past time for a pre-emptive strike. China will never rein in this moron as it’s too much fun for the commies to watch us squirm.

I posed this question when the pervert Billy Goat Clinton occupied the White Hut: what do you think this administration would do if a nuke hit the USA?

My answer was ‘nothing.’

Envoys would be sent to Pyongyang to use diplomacy offering more money and foodstuffs to the starving nation.

Blame the condition of the split Koreas and the swinish gluttony of the soviets as they gobbled up Eastern Europe on Harry S (for nothing) Truman.

I had classmates on the DMZ in teh 90’s. They were told the same.

One told me that they hoped they could stop the first push long enough for an American army to land in the south, and push back. In other words a repeat of the last dust up.

50/50 that any Nork invasion will stall in the Seoul suburbs she the invaders start coming across things called “supermarkets”. The glorious reunification invasion will quickly devolve into mass looting.

I’m not sure all the brainwasing in the world can overcome the power of someone subjected to a lifetime of starvation suddenly being exposed to things like apples, bananas and Hershey bars.

I’m not saying that the Norks will flip sides, but rather that there’ll be a massive breakdown in unit cohesion that will effectively halt the advance and allow the invasion to be contained.
