I think we are learning that we can’t teach all. Let’s pull back, regroup, teach those that want to learn, those that are capable of learning. The world needs ditch diggers too as they say.

Right on. Universal, compulsory, government controlled education is a failed experiment. Academic and trade schools should be available to anyone who wants to learn, paid for by scholarships financed by private donations. Without crushing taxes to pay for the blackhole of state run education people would have plenty of money to make donations.

Kids that can't or won't learn should be sent to work. If the kid grows into an adult that doesn't want to work for a living should lose their citizenship and be deported.
