Senator John McCain dismisses a question about the impeachment of President Obama and makes light of the questioner. He asserts that the recent popular election overrides any Constitutional issues or criminal actions by Obama. Following McCain's logic, an anti-American dictator can be elected, who commits criminal acts, and Congress can do absolutely nothing about it.

Hey McStain, 0bama has committed impeachable acts SINCE being re-elected, to include the transfer of enemy combatant Bin Laden's son-in-law to a Federal court (civilian) in NY and not a military tribunal, outside the purview of Congress.

You are assuming he ever had any marbles to begin with Why doesn't he just join the Rat party and make it official? My opinion is, he is not one of us.
Is there anyone here on FR who seriously thinks that Obama is going to be impeached and removed? With the makeup of the Congress the way it is right now?
It’s a nice idea, but it’s never going to happen.
You have to learn how to deal with the world as it is, not as we may want it to be.
I should add that I find McCain and Graham despicable for their comments about Rand Paul. But criticizing him for failing to call for Obama’s impeachment is just stupid.

Showing his true colors, now we know the vote was stacked.
Congress can impeach and remove from office any officer of the United States, including the president, whenever it chooses to do so.
The criterion is "high crimes and misdemeanors," but then Congress defines what actions meet that standard, so it is essentially whatever Congress decides. The impeachment power, like the power of pardon, is among the few in the Constitution without a check or balance.
That said, at this point in time it is highly unlikely even the House would impeach, much less the Senate, with a majority of Democrats, convict.
So I doubt anybody is claiming the Congress can't impeach, just that it won't.
BTW, I've always thought we would have a much healthier government if perhaps every third or fourth president had been impeached and removed from office.
Hell I have Lindsay Graham for a Senator. I feel your pain. Maybe it’s time to go through the FEC filings and target businesses that help fund RINO campaigns with boycotts.
