Newt Gingrich: John McCain Attacks On Rand Paul ‘Sad’
Politico ^ | 3/8/13 6:39 AM EST | By KEVIN CIRILLI

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is slamming Sen. John McCain for criticizing Sens. Ted Cruz and Rand Paul, saying it’s “sad” for someone who was once known as a maverick in Congress.

“What I find sad about Sen. McCain’s recent comments both to Ted Cruz, when Ted Cruz was frankly raising legitimate questions [about Benghazi] and with Rand Paul, is, you know, when I first knew John McCain in the House — he was a maverick. In the Senate, for years, he was a maverick,” Gingrich said Thursday on Fox News.

He continued: “Of everybody I know in the Senate, I didn’t know anybody who had a better record of bucking the leadership, doing what he thought mattered, marching to his own drummer. And I think that it’s unfortunate. But I think frankly it doesn’t hurt Ted Cruz and it doesn’t hurt Rand Paul — it hurts John McCain. The country is moving on, we’re in a new era, people know that these are legitimate questions.”

McCain criticized Paul on Thursday, calling the Kentucky Republican’s’s nearly 13-hour filibuster questioning the White House on its domestic drone policy a “disservice.” McCain has also sparred with Cruz, a freshman tea partier with a reputation in the Senate for being outspoken

Newt also said CPAC should invite Christie and McDonnell
to speak because they are so popular.

You never know with Newt.

> Newt has chosen wisely.

This time.

I’m going to venture that it’s only a matter of time before he becomes as unhinged as McCain and the faery from SC.

Newt was smart enough to check the Twitter trend and see which way the wind was blowing before choosing sides.

Very True.

What is troubling about Newt, is he is “rational” one minute and understands the philosophy of our Founders and the evil Leviathan -—and then the next minute, he throws out Reason and Natural Laws (fundamental to the Constitution and Natural Rights from God ideas) and affirms the dysfunctional learned “lifestyle” of homosexuals (Vice) and wants to establish “homosexual” marriage (Vice) when it would cause mass confusion in the normal sexual development of children (next generation) in learning Virtue (all Founders knew Virtue (Christian Ethics) was necessary for “Free Republics”)

-—to flip our “Ethical” system to one based on Satanism/occults/paganism/Mother Gaia worship will destroy the concepts in our Founding Documents.

“Good Newt” today. Although I would have much preferred a stronger word than “sad”. Kinda pathetic.

McCain is a sock puppet.

McCain’s a maverick in the sense that unlike his fellow Democrats he calls himself a Republican.

I hope Senators Paul and Cruz can figure out how to keep their profiles high without becoming stale and keep taking the fight to obama. McCain and his boy toy Graham are over. They are no longer relevant...there’s new blood in the GOP and we need to get behind these guys and support them to the hilt. And we need to fight the back stabbing has beens to the ground. I live in VA but plan to help support any effort to primary Light Loafers Lindsey.

MaCain and all of the old Bulls are sell out Vichy Republicans They have gone from RINOs to Traitors to the GOP and all it stands for. This is a sad day indeed but—out of this some good may come. Sam Houston said it best: “The Truth Burns, but burns clean.” Now we know who McCain supports and who has bought his soul. Time to get him out of Washington DC at the next election. Once he was a great man—that day has past and he has given over to the dark side. Let us honor the memory and redouble efforts to replace him with a real conservative Republican.

I recieved a nice 8x10 photo of him and Palin during the election for a contribution I had made...

I ended up cutting McCain out of the picture even before the election was over. Probably right after he said there was nothing to fear from an Obama presidency.
