Gabby Giffords' husband (Mark Kelly) buys AR-15

Mark E. Kelly, gun-control proponent and husband to former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, recently purchased an AR-15 (an "assault weapon," he called it)—which he now says he intended as an illustration of the need for more stringent gun laws.

Kelly reportedly bought the AR-15 and a 1911-style semi-automatic pistol at Diamondback Police Supply in Tucson, Arizona.

Various sources contacted Breitbart News once Kelly made the purchase, and after we began investigating the details surrounding the purchase, Kelly announced on his Facebook that he was not going to keep the AR-15, which he has yet to pick up from the store.

I feel sorry for Gabby Giffords too, that her husband is using what happened to her for his own political gain..the moment after she was shot he went on TV to trash Republicans, to blame Sarah Palin for what happened..he is the ultimate schmuck..he parades his wife around like his own personal puppet repeating whatever he tells her to say

I think he’s working for Elon Musk now.
That tells you a bit about who’s paying for this campaign.

Well, why not? My Colt Commander is only 62 years old. My Mauser hsc is older than that and they both work fine.

Sounds like he's confessing to being a dangerous criminal who should not be allowed to own guns, to me.

What else could he be "illustrating."

Any ‘man’ who exploits his nearly braindead wife for a political agenda that he flaunts when no one is supposedly looking is no man. He is a snake.

But but but, aren’t all these “assault weapons” a new phenomenon that made this new age of mass shootings possible? How can a 102 yr old gun be part of that? /s

I noticed a used AR-15. Bought that too.

I wonder if this idiot realizes that if he'd try that in other states, he'd have to wait 30 days or so to buy a second one.

In California, we had to wait 30 days....

Well, that would be most of the basic weaponry.

Maybe he already had the shotgun.

Aw, now don’t knock all gun owning gungrabbers as hypocrites.

Sen. Jay Rockefeller D-WV went out & bought himself an AR-15 AFTER he voted for the 1994 AWB. Busted, he declared himself different from other citizens being he is a U.S. senator.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein D-CA is a walking sewer of a hypocrite after BOASTING of her carrying concealed because of all those rightwing nuts out there.

I have known liberals, one a retired colonel, who asserted that they will surrender THEIR guns only after all those aforementioned rightwingers are disarmed first.

Make no mistake, this is war. Civil war has begun.

He bought a 102 year old pistol? :-)

That slab-sided thing is now officially an "antique", and is no longer subject to whatever whim Congress has.

Those that own one should be thankful for that.

AR-15 and a 1911-style semi-automatic pistol

Just last week I did some shooting with both of those. Well, the AR-15 was the semi-auto version of the M4. I am ashamed to admit that it was the first time I had shot a 1911 in 45 ACP. Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh, it was su-weet! So little recoil for so much power and it was ACCURATE.

I gotta get one.

The left machine at work. Even if they get nothing passed they have brought the issue to the front.

Same as the queer laws and everything else that breaks down a moral people. Just keep hammering until all knowing, all seeing US government rules supreme. Then you will be happy.

To wear that uniform he had to swear an oath to uphold the Constitution and defend it. Now that he is attacking our Constitution, what does that make him? Yeah, that makes him a treasonous traitor.
