The only time I have ever seen a whistle be effective is when you get one of those heavy breather freaks on the phone. Blow that whistle into the phone. The sucker won’t know what hit him as he is probably deaf by then.
That's simply not true. Telephone companies have "limiters" on their systems which prevent overly loud sounds from being transmitted.
