Good for them.
Wow! An actual university did this? I’ll bet there are lib econ “profs” dissing this in class today.
LOL—not in class, they’re probably organizing a “teach in,” with “protests” to follow. Last step will be spray-painting “KKK rules!” on the “offending” professors’ doors.
These are mandatory for A&M threads:
Did you hear about the Aggie terrorist who tried to blow up the Longhorn team bus. He burned his lip on the tailpipe.
How many Aggies does it take to screw in a light bulb? One, but he gets 3 hours credit.
Did you hear about the skeleton they found in a closet in one of the dorms at A&M? It was the 1963 hide-and-go-seek champion!
Did you hear about the Aggie who won a gold medal at the Olympics? He liked it so much that he decided to get it bronzed.
Why did the Aggie get fired from the M&M plant as a quality control inspector? He kept throwing out all the W&W's!
Why don't Aggies eat barbecue beans? Because they keep falling through the holes in the grill.
Why don't Aggies use 911 in an emergency? Because they can't find "eleven" on the phone dial.
How can you tell an Aggie is on location at a drilling rig? He's the one throwing bread to the helicopters.
How many Aggies does it take to eat an armadillo? Two. One to do the eating, and one to watch for cars.
Ice is no longer available in the drinks at the cafeterias at A&M. The senior who knew the recipe graduated.
More here.
It won’t be just the econ profs. Last May I met a group of geography and geology students from Texas Tech. They were touring New Mexico.
One told me he was studying geography because he wanted to get one of those good green jobs
Someone needs to write a book called:
Making Rich Nations Poor: Obamanomics or How Cook County Illinois Became a Worker’s Paradise
Texas Tech is not Texas A&M.
You’re right. Tech is not A&M, and, no matter how hard they try, they never will be. Gig’em.
That cattle rancher better stay on top of the hires for this institute less it become a Trojan horse.
“No matter how hard they try?” Kidding, right? What sort of institution would “try” to be the object of countless jokes and scorn? Your comment smacks of Aggie delusion.
True! AAAAND Texas A&M is NOT Texas Tech!!!
I have great respect and admiration for those known as the Aggies, but the Southwest is not known for its “Red Raider” jokes.
I received BS & MS degrees from the Step-Child University of Texas, a.k.a. TTU; so don’t be hatin!
Good bless Texas and her cattle ranchers!
Also, my TTU Economics professor repeatedly mentioned that the government’s universal response to its failing programs is to “throw more money at them.” He was probably an anomaly even at TTU, but I doubt many other universities can find such a gem on their faculties.
Texas Tech is not Texas A&M.
Q: Did you hear about the power outage at the Texas Tech University library? A: Thirty students were stuck on the escalator for three hours.
He probably has oil wells on his ranch and raising cattle is his hobby.
Or he exports beef.
My wife was from Lubbock & I remember her dad driving us to the airport after the wedding telling me about a friend of his that had the most beautiful little farm in the area, and then one day they discovered oil on it that just ruined everything about it...
