(CNSNews.com) New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said the large soda ban set to go into effect this month at city restaurants, street vendors and movie theaters is how government tells the public whats in their best interest. We're not banning anything. It's called portion control, Bloomberg said Sunday on CBSs "Face the Nation." It's a typical way that companies use to and governments use to explain to people what's in their interest and what isn't.

It’s called self control, and why should the citizens exhibit any, when your wonderful government has none?
Is he still banning private food donations to homeless shelters because you might give the homeless a high fat or high salt food? (Two things, btw, that a person exposed to the elements might need to survive better).

What a lying jerk. Portion control is a term used by restaurants. It is a method used to control costs, not to tell their customers what’s good for them. They use exact portions, especially for the expensive ingredients, and are more generous with the inexpensive ones.
Leave it to a politician to twist the meaning out of all recognition!

New Yorkers had portion control in the amount of time a mayor was to serve. Bloomy thought otherwise and made the changes necessary to become mayor again. He is a petty tyrant.

“It must be a festering liberal swamp.”
It is not known as the “Big Sh*ty” for nothing, you know.
New York City is also known as “Neu Yuk”, a reference to its original name and its present condition.

The answer is:
Depends on whether act occurs in Neu Yuk or in South Beach or Key West.
