SALT LAKE CITY Gov. Gary Herbert was asked Monday to veto a bill that would allow concealed weapons to be carried without a permit.
In a letter delivered to the governor's office, the recently formed Utah Parents Against Gun Violence and six other groups warned HB76 "is not only a giant step backward, it will also increase the unnecessarily high rate of homicide, suicide and domestic violence."
The bill, which has passed the House and is expected to be heard by the Senate Tuesday, would allow gun owners wanting to cover up their weapons to bypass the permit process, which requires taking a class and passing regular background checks.

Clearly, the agenda against constitutional carry has nothing to do with crime, and everything to do with control.
Permits of any kind are an infringement, period.
Well, I guess Arizona, Wyoming, Vermont, and Alaska must be stomach-churning piles of carnage.
Or not.
I would feel much safer knowing that law-abiding citizens could be carrying. In gun free zones and states, I know that only criminals will be armed. I cannot comprehend why anyone would prefer the second condition over the first condition (except for those who want the people disarmed so that government or thugs can grab more power).
What happens to my ability to carry in 32(?) other states if my Utah permit is invalid?
I suppose I will have to get a Florida permit.
