Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul is leading an online poll being conducted by Contract From America as the conservative pick for president in 2016.

With 190,000 votes cast as of Monday morning, Paul leads, with Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio rounding out the top three. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush are running in last place, ranked 32 and 31 respectively.

Contract From America (CFA) is a nonprofit conservative organization that promotes the “Contract From America” that was first drafted and embraced in 2010 by tea party Republicans.

CFA distributed the poll to tea party chapters and leaders, and conservative organizations across the country, and asked voters to choose their favorite candidate in 12 to 15 head-to-head match-ups featuring 32 possible candidates.

Rand Paul leads the poll, winning 80 percent of his match-ups, with Walker winning 76 percent and Rubio winning 73 percent.

One filibuster does not a president make.

I’m pretty sure that the establishment has already selected Jeb Bush as the candidate.

It is not the GOP's fault.

Look yourself in the mirror. It is OUR fault as conservatives for throwing far better candidates out while allowing the RINOs to march toward the nomination.

We either coalesce around a decent, but imperfect, candidate early and hang on to them or we will have another lousy nominee and nobody to blame but ourselves.

If Sarah is going to really stand with Rand, she is going to have to finally distance herself from McLame,

If the COnservatives want to run a great candidate in 2016 and make sure they have to worry about Hillary’s aactions when she gets elected, they should support Ron Paul. He’s a great guy, would make a great conservative spokesperson and be assured of defeat in 2016.

Scott who???

The only GOOD thing about this poll is Christie and the Third Bush come out dead last.

If they want to WIN in 2016, they will nominate Rubio. He’s conservative and he’s Hispanic and he’s well know and he speaks well.

He can defeat Hillary. Neither Walker nor Paul can accomplish that.

The Demographics have changed and we need the Hispanic vote. Right now we will nevere get the Black vote and we lost a good part of the white vote - women - in 2012.

I meant RAND Paul, not RON Paul. Rand is good for the future, Ron Paul is a loser and Rubio is what we need to win in 2016.

“One filibuster does not a president make.”

No kidding, but desperation is setting in, and people are jumping on anything that looks like it has some cajones in a profession where their are few.

Look at this quote from Rand Paul’s Spokeswoman after he voted to confirm Kerry: “..................Paul spokeswoman Moira Bagley told Yahoo News. “As he has said before, the president should be entitled to some leeway on his political appointments. That is why Sen. Paul voted in favor of Sen. John Kerry, with whom he largely disagrees on foreign policy, to serve as secretary of state.........”

I think Rand Paul is just as nuts as his dad. We are at war. The Democrats give no quarter, and we should not either, yet here we see Rand Paul letting Obama have his way by placing a traiterous scumbag in the position of SOS.

Maybe John Kerry and Chuckie the Crybaby Hagel can do more to hurt Obama’s legacy than anything yet.

'The Demographics have changed and we need the Hispanic vote.'

Hispanics vote for Dems.

The only people who decide the elections these days is the Female vote.

Secondly, Rubio and Rand want amnesty. There will not be another party that win elections other than Dems after amnesty.

” yet here we see Rand Paul letting Obama have his way by placing a traiterous scumbag in the position of SOS.”

Obama won the election and he gets to pick his cabinet.

Elections have consequences.
