Strange... these stories always come from Deep Blue Democrat cesspool cities. Can there be a connection?

>> That’s not a bully. That’s a criminal psychopath!

Agreed, but as far as the psycho left is concerned, it’s no worse than calling someone a fag.

There were two “matrons” on the bus — two— who presumably were supposed to be able to deal with things like this.

There was a recent school bus driver strike which included the matrons, who are part of the union. They were striking because the city refused to grant them a guarantee of perpetual employment no matter what. All through it the union was filling the radio airwaves with commercials where fake parents say things like "I just don't feel safe letting my kids ride on a bus without unionized drivers and matrons to protect them! End this strike, let the experienced people back to work!". It ended a few weeks ago and they union workers returned to their buses.

So presumably this all happened with the official union bus matrons. Just imagine how bad it could have have been if this situation was left to non-union matrons to deal with!

It was a bus full of “special ed” kids.

This is what happens when you encourage your child to act crazy to get gubmint checks. They have to ride the bus with the other kids getting crazy checks, only some of them really are crazy (and dangerous).

Bipolar is a disability?

Yeah, that doesn't excuse the bullying, but I had much the same thought.

Actually, my first thought was "A BiPolar 13 year od girl? How could they tell?"

The other side of the story is missing from this account. I’m not sure our little girl is a sweet angel.

But she's "disabled"... that means innocent as the pure driven snow.

Assault and attempted murder? No big deal. But if he chewed a Pop Tart into the shape of a gun, they would expel him.

Uhhh, sorry to interrupt the lynching, but according to the article, the bully went out the back of the bus along with the victim, and both landed on the pavement.

Makes me wonder if the debusification of both individuals was just a freak accident?

An accident that occurred while the "gentleman" was simply helping the "damsel" to the back of the bus?

“He jumped over the seats and pushed me to the back door,” said the tearful teen. “Then he pushed the door open and pushed me out. I thought I was going to die.”

I think your posting is very uncharitable and over the top.

That girl is not “huge” for a 13-year-old. And I think the mother’s look suggest a level of anger that would be most appropriate after such an attack on her child.

As to the mention of a full-sized bus, I suspect that the description was meant to distinguish it from the short bus that is usually used to take kids to special schools. And having such a large bus would allow the perp better opportunity to do his deed before the adults could stop him, I suppose.

So, how did the bully end up on the pavement along with the “disabled” girl?

Maybe she took him with her as she went through the door. I would try to hang on to anything I could grab a hold of, including the person pushing me from the bus.

I guess there’s no point in continuing, since you, most of the other posters on this thread, and the author of the article have already decided to act as judge and jury in this case.

This is why competent reporters are careful to used words like “allegedly” when describing actions of accused individuals to avoid damaging the prosecution’s case.

This article is nothing more than yellow journalism.

I’m not denying that the bully caused this incident to happen, and that at a minimum, some form of disciplinary action is necessary, but I question whether this is a case of attempted murder, as you claim, or just the kind of accident that happens when kids act stupidly or impulsively.

All I see in the article is the girl’s side of the story.

Could it be that she was coached by her mom to say the accusatory things that she said?

Do we know anything about the bully, other than he “hurled” the girl out the back of the bus? What is this kid’s mental condition? Is this a kid who should be in an institution instead of a school?

Do we know what happened, if anything, between the two before the incident?

It would be useful to hear testimony from witnesses before passing judgement. That’s what our court system is for.

Sorry, but I like to hear both sides of the story before I get out the rope.

Fine. You don’t buy it. I don’t know why you would believe in adult bipolar, and not childhood bipolar. Exactly what day do these kids suddenly turn bipolar? I knew there was something wrong with my son from the time he was a toddler. You should try living with it. Maybe you’d understand.

Bipolar/ADHD/autistic kids are often much smarter than average. My son tested at a genius level. Not all “special needs” children cause problems in a classroom.

Poor planning?

By those words, you raised the issue of premeditation. If you don't think this was premeditated, then say so.
