New Pope: No Communion for Pro-Abortion Politicians
breitbart.com ^ | March 13 2013 | staff

New Pope Francis I is a conservative in the mold of his predecessor, Pope Benedict XVI and Pope John Paul II. That’s especially true on the issue of abortion, which he called a “death sentence” for the unborn in 2007. “We aren’t in agreement with the death penalty,” he said during that speech, “but in Argentina we have the death penalty. A child conceived by the rape of a mentally ill or retarded woman can be condemned to death.”

In his writings, Francis wrote, “we should commit ourselves to ‘eucharistic coherence,’ that is, we should be conscious that people cannot receive holy communion and at the same time act or speak against the commandments, in particular when abortions, euthanasia, and other serious crimes against life and family are facilitated. This responsibility applies particularly to legislators, governors, and health professionals.”

Francis is also anti-euthanasia: “Today,” he wrote, “elderly people are discarded when, in reality, they are the seat of wisdom of the society. The right to life means allowing people to live and not killing, allowing them to grow, to eat, to be educated, to be healed, and to be permitted to die with dignity.”

Watched it from the Front Row of my 60”. Was on my knees for the reconciliation and the blessing. First time I wept in quite a while.

I hope there are people prepared to document whether Biden receives Communion in Rome.

Now we have to see if American bishops will dare to enforce the new edicts.

Here is hoping that Pope Francis will also publicly condemn same-sex “marriage” and tell the 54% of Catholics who think it is OK that it is NOT OK. Take it or leave it.

Oh, and by the way MSM, there will not be any female priests.

[There is hope in the world.]

I share your belief, I prayed mightily for a good Pope.
And thank you, I think the pictures inspire us.

the north east should be one of the most conservative areas in this country and yet turd pushers, cross dressers, killing babies is rife.

I hope these bishops do what they were told and if not the Pope takes them to Rome.

The lapdog corrupt biased MSM are not happy LOL, expect to see an all out assault on the man and his past now.

I’m not Catholic either, but if we don’t stick to scripture Christianity will be remolded into the one world church!

Christians saw the Episcopal Church go dwn the tubes decades ago because they didn’t stick to scripture.

Good! Some of the lefties I know pounce on Republicans that are caught being hypocritical, and I wish the Democrats that are hypocrites could be treated the same.

This pope is a Jesuit, but there are some very conservative Jesuits!

The liberal Jesuits have given the Jesuits a very bad name.

At one time, Pope Francis I was the Jesuit Provincial (head of a Jesuit Province). That particular part of his biography comes up because he was accused of not doing enough to free some priests from the military.

One report said that as Jesuit provincial, he did behind the scenes work to free the priests.

This story may be cropping up to slander this Pope...

If you want to be a Catholic there is a certain level of moral behavior required.

If you want to promote and support abortion of babies, have lesbian women as pastors, and have your church approve of sodomy and homosexual relations the Catholic church is not for you.

People who want these things will find there are many other churches where they will feel right at home.

Sounds very anti-Obamacare and those death panels...I could find a way to wrap around this philosophy...

While not Catholic - I support this 100%. But then again, I don’t think Pro-Murder Baptists, Methodists, Non-Doms, etc. should get communion either.
