Gun Facts Version 6.2 Released 13 Years of Debunking Gun Control Myths

San Francisco, CA – March 13, 2013: The latest edition of the de facto desk reference for debunking gun control mythology was released today and marks its thirteenth year in production. See

“Another tragedy, and one again the gun control industry is on the move,” said Guy Smith, editor of Gun Facts. “Yet as in 2000, their rush to crush civil rights meets the brick wall of facts, perspective and reason. The gun control industry won’t get far.”

Gun Facts categorizes gun control topics, then lists lies told by gun control advocacy groups. For each piece of anti-gun agitprop, Gun Facts provides debunking data and over 530 detailed footnotes citing reliable, independent sources (criminologists, government studies, etc). Anyone can use Gun Facts to quickly look-up a gun control industry lie and find rock-solid data to discredit the misinformation.

“In over thirteen years of continuous publication, Gun Facts has earned a large following of people who use it daily to defeat gun control initiatives,” said Smith. “Gun Facts has been so useful to so many folks, in over 165 countries around the globe, that it is now the de facto desk reference for people who prefer freedom.”

Over 110 pages, Gun Facts covers topics ranging from “assault weapons” to concealed carry to gun control’s failure around the world. In every topic chapter, Gun Facts lists each canard cast by the gun control industry. Readers can search the electronic version of the book to instantly find a lie and the facts that uncloak it.

“We pass information ammo to sane and thoughtful people,” said Smith. “Gun Facts is for every man and woman fed-up with intellectual cads misinforming the masses while trying to swipe their freedom. This is why Gun Facts is downloaded over 58,000 times in slow months. The information is valuable and the price – free – is popular.”

Gun Facts has always been available for purchase in print, but with version 6.2 the price has dropped again and the availability has been expanded. The new print version is sold through and other outlets.

“If Michael Bloomberg and Chuck Schumer thought I was slowing down, then they are thinking as poorly as they always do,” said Smith. “Some fights are eternal, so Gun Facts will be updated and published as long as I am around … longer once it is turned over to a foundation.”

About Gun Facts: Gun Facts is the de facto desk reference for debunking gun control myths. In publication for over thirteen years, Gun Facts has been called “indispensible” and is regularly promoted at gun rights conferences and talk radio programs. Gun Facts has been downloaded into over 165 countries and has an estimated new-edition circulation of over a million copies.

About Guy Smith: Guy Smith is a San Francisco-based writer and political provocateur. At times Smith has been a cowboy, surfer, computer guru and a marketing strategist. Throughout he has been a libertarian, committed to expanding all freedoms and dressing down politicians in the process. He is an expert on gun control policy and propaganda analysis. Smith contributes Op/Ed pieces to major metropolitan newspapers (San Francisco Chronicle, Oakland Tribune). Guy is a popular guest on talk radio all over America and has been an invited speaker at multiple gun rights policy conferences as well as the Libertarian Party national convention.

The liberals don’t read or acknowledge facts. The MSM will not report about the facts. Too often we are preaching to the choir. We need to promote our positions on whatever media we can use. Put out more soundbites than the other side. Fight fire with fire.

Facts work well, but you use them on the saveables ... the undecideds. Your neighbors, people online, etc.

Remember, we have taken control of the national conversation away from the MSM. Use Gun Facts outside of their control.
