Wearing bulletproof vests and carrying 40-caliber Glock pistols, nine California Justice Department agents assembled outside a ranch-style house in a suburb east of Los Angeles. They were looking for a gun owner who'd recently spent two days in a mental hospital.
They knocked on the door and asked to come in. About 45 minutes later, they came away peacefully with three firearms.
California is the only state that tracks and disarms people with legally registered guns who have lost the right to own them, according to Attorney General Kamala Harris. Almost 20,000 gun owners in the state are prohibited from possessing firearms, including convicted felons, those under a domestic violence restraining order or deemed mentally unstable.

This woman should have politely told the officers to get a search warrant. I didn't read in the article that this case had been adjudicated in a court of law. Despite what a nurse said, the nurse is not a judge.

The fact that they’re doing it, and getting away with it, says a lot. At what point will they meet real resistance? You know, a real, tangible counter to their “authority”?
If people would create a standoff, at least they would
think about every victim they go after.

I am waiting for our heroes out of the military with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder to be declared mentally unfit to possess a firearm. These totalitarians always use the mental justification to take away a person’s rights. The Russian Federation used psychiatry for political purposes and used the threat of psychiatric diagnosis as a means of political repression.
If a person is deemed mentally unfit to have a gun, that same person is mentally unfit to have bleach, gasoline, fertilizer, carving knives, drain cleaner, propane, a car, fly an airplane, etc

I've been saying that for years and most of the time the FR jackboot licking society attacks me for it. The police are NOT your friends. They are there to enforce the will of the government and to kill you, your family and your dog if you resist (or your dog just because they can.) Makes one wish for a wider availabilty of claymores.
Just as the Nazi’s had no trouble finding men for their SS or their Gestapo, our American law Enforcement agencies will have no trouble finding “oficers” to do their bidding, and in fact will find stand out volunteers. It’s a power trip.
