Wayne LaPierre, the CEO of the National Rifle Association, let loose against the media and government who have recently characterized the gun lobbyist’s talking points as “crazy.”
“Let them be damned!” roared LaPierre.
In a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference, LaPierre accused gun-control advocates of offering “illogical” solutions to the problems of gun violence.

Recently Eliot Engel D-NY who is a prime advocate of disarming lawful American citizens is advocating the arming of Islamic radicals in Syria with automatic weapons and hand held anti-aircraft missiles. Maybe he should introduce the necessary legislation on 9/11.
libtard holding fast to idiotic, insane ideas == principled
conservative refusing libtard demands to abandon their principles == extremist, crazy, partisan, obstructionist
Why does he think they need guns? /sarc
I believe the time is arriving that we will have to walk the walk, not just talk the talk.
Are we ready?
This is so LAST YEAR. Get it Easy.
The simple response that needs to be repeated to the left and media a like is this:
If they call it sanity to believe giving criminals such an advantage over the rest of us will reduce crime. Then we should all find ourselves all living longer more secure lives among the so called “insane”.
Or perhaps we should simply say that if giving criminals such an advantage leads to greater safety then Washington D.C. should be the safest city in the world.
Never bring scissors to a gunfight.
The Newtown shooter illegally killed people in a gun free zone with while illegally in possession of guns. Regular folks not bent on murder do not routinely illegally carry guns into gun free zones. Anyone who can’t see the clear advantage in that situation is an idiot or an ideologue.
Kitten, keep your claws tucked in. Let them think we are cute little balls of fuzz. Take them by surprise.
You are right.
Of course, the only persons that I could take by surprise are those who do not know me.
“The Newtown shooter illegally killed people in a gun free zone with while illegally in possession of guns. Regular folks not bent on murder do not routinely illegally carry guns into gun free zones. Anyone who cant see the clear advantage in that situation is an idiot or an ideologue.”
An Idiot is really the only explication. Ideology only causes folks to lie if not only to others but also to themselves.
THE BEAUTIFUL AND BRAINY ANN COULTER TAKES US ALL TO SCHOOL....when she gets done there’s nothing else to say...the only the needed is for SEAN to shut his pie hole and quit interrupting this genius take a look and listen to the guesting ANN..wow!
Requirements of registration, background checks, and the like aren't binding for Felons and other disqualified parties.
If it's unConstitutional for them to be required to have them, why should the rest of us?
That is the question we ask ourselves every day as we “see the day approaching”. With God’s grace, **wisdom**, and strength (only!), yes.
“The public good be damned. I’ll have no part in it.”
Henry “Hank” Rearden, Atlas Shrugged.
Vladimir Ilyich Lenin
Libs don’t believe that the Constitution means anything.
LaPierre needs to run for the US Senate. He a natural orator, with a logical mind.
He is exactly where we need him to be...Running for the Senate would be a waste...
Then we shall have to agree to disagree.
I hhope everyone realizes that for all the bluster, rhetoric tit for tat going on on this isse for the laast 25-30 years...
At the end of the day, do YOU still have your guns???
I hope so...
And when the call comes for YOU to give them up???
Will YOU still have your guns???
I hope so...
You had better be prepared for the worst case senario, and hope that the fught stays in the courts, and in the legislatures in your states...
Because, since we all should still have our guns, if the fight gets into the streets, we ALL lose...
I also have stopped letting this issue get my bowels in an uproar, because there is no way my freedom and liberties are going away without a fight, when, and if, our political forces fail, that will clearly define where any of us stand at the end of the day...
Actually, they also allow the use of staplers, tape dispensers, and making loud guttural noises - what more does an unarmed sacrifice need when confronted by an armed killer?
Eliot Engel was also the leader of arming the Muslim terrorists (mujahadeen in Bosnia-Herzegovina and then Albanian Muslims in Kosovo-Metohija) against the Christian majority in the Balkans in the 1990s. It is a disgrace to our nationj that he is even in public office anywhere.
Sean Hannity even talks in his sleep.
I’m an old fart but when the time comes to do my duty to enforce the laws of our Constitution (as written), I will give all that I have to join my fellow free Americans to either secede from the union or to stand and fight with my fellow patriots.
This is it folks...the communists are now on our own soil and worse yet, in our own capitol, eating away at our freedoms and liberty at an amazing rate.
There is only one of two solutions to the problem: Stand and fight or break away from the USSA. (That stands for United Soviet States of America)
It's you versus him. No one else is near enough to hear you. You're trapped. In the millisecond you have to decide you can't tell what his intentions are - simple rape or something much worse?
You have a moment to place a loaded revolver in your hands and shoot. Do you?
They get angry. They get flustered. They don't want to hear it. No matter what, it forces them to think.
The most common goofiest answer is something akin to “my gun will just make it worse [for me].”
Would requiring criminal history on a job application for a government job or military enlistment be "violation of the Fifth Amendment?"
Of course not! That's because the 5th Amendment states, "nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself." The 5th does not cover required disclosure outside of involuntary criminal (police/court) proceedings.
It is not a crime for a felon to try to obtain a weapon and truthfully answers the question on criminal history. It is only a crime if he/she lies (just as it would be for lying on government job applications).
“A fear of weapons is a sign of retarded sexual and emotional maturity”
—Sigmund “SIG” Freud
There is already a Supreme Court case that says exactly that. Criminals are free not to disclose that they have a firearm.
My wife was reading an article out of a Christian magazine to me last evening regarding crime in America. It said that drugs were the #1 crime in America. The #2 crime was HUMAN TRAFFICING!!! And #3 was the import and sale of ILLEGAL guns by the thugs! We cannot stop drugs and weapons from coming into our nation and they want to DISARM law abiding, working, tax paying citizens?!?!??! These people are fools. Plus, they simply cannot stop young girls mostly, run-a-ways mostly, from being sold as prostitutes! This nation is going down the drain. God has started to withdraw His hand of protection. This nation DESERVES the judgment God is bringing down upon it.
“...Libs dont believe that the Constitution means anything...”
Most communists don’t. They hate it.
They're not just damned. They are legion.
Wayne, this can't be reconciled with "nice".
Something I didn’t know . . the ‘roots’ of the NRA . . .
I bet Obama and Holder didn’t expect this!!
A SCOTUS ruling (whatever the particulars) that criminals do not have to disclose that they have firearms IS NOT THE SAME as saying:
(1) Laws against criminals having firearms are unconstitutional.
(2) Laws requiring disclosure of criminal history (outside of police/court proceedings) are unconstitutional.
(3) Laws against lying about criminal history on disclosures under (2) are unconstitutional.
Forget showing me the SCOTUS ruling you posted of. Show me a SCOTUS ruling on (1)(2)or(3)!
I hazarded to read a few of the comments at your link. Knowing huffpo to be hard left I thought I knew what to expect. I was amused with the very first one that suggested that Annie was off the mark criticizing difi because difi isn’t really a lib (or lib enough).
It seems that difi lives at the beck & call of the pubbies LOL.

SHUT THEIR PIE HOLES, THEY MUST
thanks for the ping
I’ve long wondered how it can be a crime not to report illegally gained income to the IRS. Al Capone had 5th amendment rights, too. But fedguv makes the rules up as it goes.
The more common answer would be to deny your scenario out of hand. They’ll say they’re blahdeblah percent more likely to shoot themselves or a loved one. And maybe they’re right, I don’t know. Certainly having a gun has to up your odds of being shot, just like how were I never to drive or ride in a car I’d cut down on my odds of dying in a fiery wreck.
For some reason our civilization is comfortable with the awfully bloody risk of automobile travel. We’ve seen the benefits and aren’t willing to go back to animals. Most people can’t see the benefits of guns, and wildly overrate the risk.
I’m going to trust my instinct, my inner voice, that which I believe to be the Protector, or the Holy Spirit. If the time I believe will come, arrives, I know I shall act as I should.
I was tested once. Long story that I won’t relate right now. But, I had reason to believe an imminent threat was at the door while sitting for my young niece. I’d never held a gun in my hands before then.
But it was where it had always been in my parents closet, and it was natural for me, I defended, stood ground. I knew at that moment I could do what was necessary with no regret.
(Funny story actually, the guy just wanted to pay his feed bill) but that’s the thing bout God, sometimes a situation arises to to show us we CAN step up to the plate with a cool head and clear intent.
